Hypnotised and blind... let me tell you that I have played FIFA games since the very first one and for a time it was the best football game bar none. The fact that EA let their standards slip so much, along with Konami making their game better each year, is the reason why I swapped allegiances to PES in the first place.
You can laugh at my comments all you like, even though it was actually a direct pop at Horovojo because of who he is and what he does. I do not give a damn about licences and all those other fancy features because after all, gameplay is the most important component of ANY GAME, and that is the area that the FIFA development team have overlooked many times in the past.
Don't get me wrong, the gameplay in FIFA 2004 is a hell of a lot better than FIFA 2003, but compared to earlier FIFA games such as 99 and even 2002, it just doesn't cut it...
WE fans are blind? Are you insane? We are the ones that know what football is, what it looks like, feels like...FIFA is a childish misrepresentation of football, I don't care how good you "know" 04 will be, the burdeon of proof is with EA, they need to topple the best, most enjoyable sports simulation in existance...
FIFA is probably down the bottom of the pile with games like Actua Soccer and Beckhams soccer etc.

I dont get why people expect fifa to be something they are not... pes is more simulation.. fifa is more arcadeish... pes1 was more of a simulation than pes2... its a hard act to balance... fifa started all out arcade.. and is working its way back towards simulation and depth.. and they made a good progress with fifa 2004... pes1 was much harder to play than pes2.. so it seems konami is also trying to find a balance there... I havent played pes3..
but to say you play winning eleven therefore you know more about football is ridiculous.. you love winning eleven and you wont give fifa a chance therefore you like a different style of game.. it has nothing to do with knowledge..

KIDDIE! You got no money to come to Brazil...
c'mon! I'm not a FIFA zealot, wake up...I simply don't agree with this thought...'superior minds play WE'...I played FIFA demo (and u should, too) and I think is gonna be a GREAT footy sim...the only one who's got a closed mind here it is u! I play them both and i like'em both...but...Konami's realism it's not like EA's...I like more EA's this year...I can feel players really playing...not gliding on a pitch, as if it was made of ice...

Tsk tsk, sometimes I wonder why I even bother dealing with fools like yourself. And by the way I have enough money to go to Brazil and back 10 times over, so don't give me that silly comment.
In PES3 they don't glide like ice... but in FIFA they seem as if they're trying to get though a boggy mess cos they're feckin' slow... I have played the FIFA 2004 demo and I hated it, so don't you go pointing the finger saying I haven't...

and one more thing...while u think FIFA is slow, I think PES 3 is damn fast...unrealistic fast, btw...and btw, too...that's not only my opinion...read the mags...u never see that pace on a normal match...as if they were playing extra time the whole match long...
DO u really think its fast??? after playin WE7 for about 1,000 times and then goin back to playin WE6I; I can surely say there is nothin wrong with the speed. WE6 felt so god damn slow.
Sheit and im not even mentioning the laser shots that every player in 2003 takes. I havent played the demo of 2004, but if the shots are the same that would be the fakest shiet I ever saw.

please, no offense, but ur really blinded...c'mon!! do the following: controlling any player, like Ronaldinho; press left and right, left and right, repeatedly...the player in question will swing and cut without losing ball control...and that's ridiculous, it doesn't happen in real life...the way players dribble and cut in WE7 it is extremely unreal, feels like Sega's Virtua Striker.
In the other hand, FIFA feels so much more like football...check the field's lenght, for example...it's like a real one, while in WE 7, it's like if u could cross the whole field with 8 passes or less...so extremely unreal, in my opinion.
and offensively speaking, the CPU's AI still behaves in a very limited way...the CPU team always and only attacks u with the forwards and nothing more...u never see left or right offensive defenders (like Cafu, R. Carlos) invading ur penalty box, or even midfielders taking their chance inside it, too...that happens in FIFA...the more u 'close' ur defense, the more the CPU will swap players positions to get some space in ur area...

I haven't played FIFA 2k4 yet, but I find it highly amusing that someone is suggesting that EA's AI is better than PES. 
As for midfielders not getting involved in the action, I disagree. Alot of my goals in PES have been scored by my midfielders. I even have defenders joining in the act a fair bit. In the last game I played BOTH my wingbacks scored. (I play 4-4-2).
Edit: I just realized you were talking about the AI attacking, not necessarily a human player. It always seems for the first few times you are playing PES that the AI is only attacking you with the forwards. If you play aggressively with your defenders then this is especially so. If you merely look to hold the attackers up they will look for passes and bring the rest of their team into the game alot more.
