I wanted to ask something about Bremen and realised I'd have to do it in the Bayern thread and **** that. Enough of us follow it, even if very slightly, for it to merit its own thread.

Anyway, anyone think Bremen have have been doing well in the transfer market this season? They sold Marin, who has underperformed (here's hoping he just needed a more competitive environment), and lost Pizarro but they brought in Elia, Gebre-Selassie, Papasthopoulos and De Bruyne on-loan. I think a Elia-De Bruyne-Hunt attacking band could be very interesting.

They've done okay, but losing Pizarro is going to be huge. He's been a top ten player in the league the past two years, even at his age. Young players from foreign leagues will struggle to make up for that loss, and its not like they've been setting Germany on fire recently as it is.

Yeah, I doubt they'll challenge for anything but Europa, but I still like the squad they're building.

I like Arnautovic

I like him too, but he's way too inconsistent. And I know he's young, but he's 23 now, no more excuses for "youth" production. He needs to start accounting for goals.

There aren't really any under the radar Bundesliga talents that I see in the preseason like Reus was last year. Draxler maybe. Low has started a youth movement with the senior national team and most of the starlets have been capped, so most know of them. I guess Draxler has a cap too, but not really. I'd say that the young goalkeepers are probably who most don't know of: Leno, Zieler, ter Stegen, Trapp, Ulreich, Kraft, etc.

De Bruyne playing in a very interior position, thought he was a winger.

He played for Genk on the left and cut inside a lot, but Bremen said from the start that they want to use him as a No. 10, and I can't remember which position he favours, but he's good across the third band.

He played as #8 today and the first impression i had it was seeing a young david beckham.

And they have Christian Pander whom I remember favourably from past FMs, and Mama Diouf who always amused me in the United Reserves, so done, I am now a Hannover 96 fan.

Abdellaoue is a really good player. And Zieler is a really really brilliant goalkeeper.

If you sign Javi Martinez, i think he will start as Bastian partner and end up the season as CB.
