I have just realized that after the game, United were the side that would get the most out of it.
For Arsenal, they stayed at the top, but Chelsea can get infront of them by 2 points (btw when will Necastle and Chelsea play their games?), and they aswell had a laugh about RvN, only Keown couldn't stop yelling. brrr i do not wish to see that expression on his face to anybody when they are sleeping.

For United, yes they lost 2 points, but basically they are only 4 points behind from the leaders after just 6 games and Chelsea won't stay at the top for the whole season. I just think that yes they have a great start, but that's because they beleive in themselves, like Arsenal were at the start of last season, but it will all be gone, just like it was for Liverpool, i hope. Then Vieira got sent off for 1 match, which is very good, since Newcastle is next for Arsenal and hopefully Bellamy, Shearer and co will find their form that Friday, plus 5 Arsenal players will be investegated and if Keane got overall ban for 8 EPL games, then Keown should get atleast for 3 games, too bad for United he is not a starting player and Arsenal won't miss him, since i am sure Sol will put his family troubles behind him. I am just hoping that FA bans and atleast fines some of Arsenal players. As for United nobody got into trouble and they showed that only strong people can stay calm even at such moments. Don't count Fergie, please.

My thoughts:

1)From a, heheh, neutral prespective the match was bloody boring except for the last 5 minutes when all the hooplah started. Two incredibly talented sides playing too cautious football.

2)Christiano Ronaldo - superb player, amazing talent, I have NO DOUBT he can become one of the best players in the world but for pete's sake man, PASS THE BALL! Sure it looks nice when he does 27 step overs in a row and he sure is pretty with that lone lock of blond hair, but eventually he loses the ball or puts in a naff cross and RvN is ready to pull his hair out. No doubt Sir Exlax with having a talking to the young man and have it sorted out.

3)RvN being mocked, jostled, whatever you want to call it at the end was bloody hilarious - it was like something from playground football. I cannot believe that Arsenal were allowed to come to Old Trafford and treat United's best player that way without the United players showing any kind of support for Ruud. Where was hard man Roy Keane when his best player was swarmed by Arsenal players?

4)You may say Ruud showed good discipline not to lash out - I think he just showed brains since he was surrounded by that nutter Keown, Cole, Lauren and others who would have beaten him to a pulp.

5)The more suspensions sent out to the more players in this match, the better. :) [Just kidding.....well, not really]

6)Phil Neville played well.

7)Ashley Cole looks like a young Marvin Gaye.

Middlesborough vs. Everton was boring as hell too - hey, Rooney, you're not playing Lichtenstein anymore, try passing the ball to a teammate.

Because they are not fully stupid. If any of Arsenal players would atleast punch Ruud or any other United player, then that would mean an immidiate suspension for the whole season, and nobody wants that, even Keown understands that.

Arsene Wenger stuttered to the conclusion that Ruud van Nistelrooy was "lookng to dive" against Arsenal on Sunday.

Reds striker Ruud was caught up in a tangle with Patrick Vieira which eventually led to the Arsenal captain retaliating and subsequently being sent off.

Asked whether he felt Ruud had cheated in the incident, Wenger responded: "Yes. I think van Nistelrooy does not help himself frankly. He is a great player but his attitude... he is always looking for... looking to dive. He looks a nice boy but on the pitch it is not always fair behaviour.

"If Patrick had to go off van Nistelrooy should have gone off. He (Vieira) is 100% sure van Nistelrooy caught him (as the United striker went up for a high ball)."

Wenger added: "Patrick should not have reacted but you punish more the consequence than the source of the problem."

Replays of the incident clearly show that van Nistelrooy did not dive, but simply moved out of the way as Vieira flung a leg in his direction. After the match Vieira admitted to raising his leg, which is why Steve Bennett gave the Frenchman his second yellow card of the match. Ruud didn't roll around on the floor, feigning injury, and yet he is accused of diving.

Wenger failed to comment on the incident after the final whistle where his own players pushed van Nistelrooy, the Frenchman using his customary response - that he didn't see the incident.

Ferguson, however, was quick to defend his Dutch striker, and hit out at Wenger for his comments about Ruud. "I am not here to talk about Arsenal's disciplinary record. That is for them," the Reds boss said.

"I can defend Ruud van Nistelrooy. I heard Arsene's comments about Ruud after the foul on Patrick. I was disappointed with that.

Ferguson continued: "He (Vieira) has reacted badly. Ruud has not dived. The referee had no option, no alternative. As for the behaviour at the end of game, I think the FA will be looking at that."

Arsenal's disciplinary record has constantly been a thorn in their side, and it certainly raised it's head at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Well, being in America, where football coverage sucks, I definitely didn't see this match. I don't want to argue about who's a cheater or not, because both of these teams have cheaters in their sides. Yes, I am admitting that there are cheaters playing for Arsenal. No names, though. Anyways, let me play devil's advocate for a second. Would there be such a fuss about this, if the yellow shirts belonged to another club and the player in the middle wasn't Van Nistelrooy?

Honestly, I'm not whining here. I am just curious as to why it is that, the forwards are never the ones accused of anything, unless they play for Arsenal. If Forlan had dove, would anyone have said anything about it? I think there's a double standard here. Not just against Arsenal. No, it's a pro-Man U, anti-the other 19 clubs bias. And I'm not basing this on one incident, I didn't see any of them today.

*prepares to get flamed*

EDIT - I really try to be sensible when I post here, and hopefully there are some members who would vouch for that. Unless, I am joking around, I don't bash Man U, just because I like Arsenal. I am trying to be objective when I say that Man U gets quite a bit of favoritism.

No there would not be any fuss if it wasn't RvN, simply because their would be no need for it. It's just that Keown is a very very:rolleyes: close friend to RvN, that he always trys to do something to him and today just 4 other Arsenal players joined in, becuase they couldn't resist the happiness of getting a draw.
but if that would have happened to somebody else, there would be the same fuss, not as big one though, since Liverpool-Man U rivalry kind of whines down now and Arsenal - ManU rivalry is just starting to get the to the highest point, which i think even Man City and ManU have never seen together. Since the teams are not big rivals yet and look what's happening already! And it will be more and more next year and the next and next. What Keown did was bad and he will be charged for it for sure.

Oh and i don't know how crappy football coverage in america is, but when i compare the coverages between belarus and canada, then Canada is like a football paradise for me. Strangely enough thou, that football is more popular in belarus:confused: .

When does Ferguson ever mention his players diving? Never. No manager will point it out.

r u retarded? if ur team was playing a crucial match, being out-played in nearly every aspect, trying as hard as they could NOT to let in a goal, conceded a penalty when they knew they wouldnt be able to score back, and the other team missed the penalty, dont u think u would be happy (especially since its manu and nistelrooy)

To be fair I woulda preferred campbell playin b'cos he's a donkey, well at least recently he is. Maybe he could've tried cheasting a ball 1 foot off the floor again or fallen over tryin to tackle an 18 yr old.

Non man-utd fans may thinks it's all fun and games and try and laugh at the after game incidents. But in all fairness it was ****in disgusting and it was surely the reason that scenes like on the pitch were continued by fans outside the ground. Acts like that can't occur on such a sporting ocassion.

And to those who say he got what he deserved, what are you talking about you completely ignorant foolz. He jumped up for a ball, well, bugger me, he should be lined up and shot in that case! Get a grip, you'd have to be retarded to try and defend any of Arsenal's immature and un-provoked antics today.

For the record, Ferguson has already had a conversation to Ruud about it.
