Well yeah I hate to admit it too, but Ruud was getting owned by Wilkie. Van Nistelrooij constantly received passes at head level. Wilkie just got the better of Ruud in that department. Whenever Ruud did have the ball at his feet, there was hardly anyone who could get it off him. If we play Van Hooijdonk, who's just as tall as Wilkie, we might do beter in the box with those headers, and may even get a few freekicks around the box.

In defence I expect Ooyer-Reiziger-de Boer, only playing three at the back.
I think Overmars will be replaced by Robben and van der Vaart will start as well.

My line-up is still a traditional 4-4-2 but what I had in mind is more like four attackers (V.d Meyde, Ruud, V. Hooijdonk, Robben), one behind the strikers (V.d Vaart). Meanwhile Davids should tackle and own the midfield together with Reiziger and Zenden. Which leaves just two at the back, but on Saturday we hardly needed to defend either.
That's why I've left out De Boer as well; guilty or not, he again was vital in conceding the goal, and he looked way to slow against McFadden and the other strikers. Bouma is fast and so is Ooijer, they should manage.

they're all over rated and play for good teams because of the

dutch managers!!

What did they play on Saturday then? Were they attacking us? I think the Scots won't play ANY football on wednesday, I think the will play eleven goalkeepers.

Maybe Holland played not that bad, especially in the 2nd half.

i know Ajax have produced a lot of brilliant players but my point is that simply if these coaches weren't dutch would these players who were 75% of the dutch squad still be rated that highly?

in my opinion only Overmars from this list is a proven star the rest are all hype and hype and hype......

I also never know what Davids real position is...he cant hold up the midfield and he's not a play maker

thats just an opinion though i really like the dutch style of play and i want to see them at their best nothing less...

Isnt Kluivert a proven star? He won some stuff with Ajax and Barça and is always scoring his goals... he's not on good form, but anyway, i think he's a star.
