Oh well, the reality is all 3 of them aren't at a great age (especially eto'o (H) ) and probably only good enough to be a 3rd choice

Exactly, but Ba has the advantage of being not so old, cheap and with at least some sort of resale value. Since we have the option of dumping Eto'o for free and not Torres, I think we should take it, though I prefer the current Eto'o to Fernando. Torres should be allowed to go to any taker.

By the way the value of making the semi final as opposed to the quarter final, courtesy of Ba's goal, is estimated at 5.2 m, which amusingly almost entirely wipes out Ba's entire FFP hit for the season.

Hahah that's pretty sweet (H), honestly though I don't think FFP will have much impact on the big teams, all it will do is stop the smaller teams and mid table teams from spending and ending up like Portsmouth

Torres is on a higher wage than Eto'o isn't he?

What I was getting at is that that one goal basically paid for Ba's entire (otherwise unremarkable) season, so we essentially had use of him for free.

I would assume Torres is paid more, yeah, I would be surprised if Eto'o's wages are crazy high.

Chelsea are fine with FFP anyway, they managed a small profit a couple of years back. They and Arsenal actually raised a stink about City and tried to get them audited.

I'm loving what's happening at Anfield. Liverpool 2-0 up, Yaya injured. If this keeps going and we beat Swansea and City win their two games at hand, it'll be Liverpool 77, City 76, Chelsea 75. So if City somehow drop more points to Everton or someone, we'd just need to beat Pool (and win every other match). This season is ending up very interesting.

Of course not, it's just funny that after like 5 years and a contract renewal in between, Johnson still has that clause on his contract.
