1. 4-4-3 don't work for us. We don't have the players for it.
Nice to see a United fan finally admitting they play with an extra man (the referee) on the pitch!

Had a few Man Utd fans on 606 on the radio over here (A UK phone in show) who were moaning about how bad Scholes and Giggs were and have been for weeks. Weren't these the same Man Utd fans basically giving these two players a blowjob a week ago? One even went as far as to say they needed to sack Ferguson because he'd become stale! Seriously, I'd understand all of that if you'd ended the season like 13 points off the title but you're still 20 points off third and pushing a team that's spent big too the wire

Yeah when you consider it coldly and theoretically, the 1-6 is much more normal than a 1-0 for City. But still, you would want Man United to at least show they wanted to win.

Totally agree, it was one of the most bizarre Man Utd performances in a big game that I've seen. Normally it that type of game, United look to have the nouse and the experience. Maybe this shows that City just have more big stage players at the moment.

As has been pointed out on twitter and other places, United are actually now 1 for the last 5 in the final game between the top 2 teams. Drogba bumped you off 2 years ago.

Yup, the often praised "United coming good at the right time" and "pulling out the results when it matters" actually applies more to the games against lesser opposition at this time of the season... the draw against Everton was a much more surprising result than the defeat today, arguably they lost the title then....

4 costly mistakes from Fergie:

1. 4-4-3 don't work for us. We don't have the players for it
2. Play Giggs, who has been bad for a while, for the FULL 90 minutes. WTF?
3. Play Park who has not played for 3 ******* months
4. Bench Valencia who is the player on fire

Anyway, there is still hope. If we win the next 2 games 10-0 each, the title could be ours.
A good article making a similar point to you, highlighting Fergie's errors and placing the blame squarely on him http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...-blame-united-collapse-214405533.html#more-id

Fulham beating Liverpool at home (although sans Suarez). I'd feel better about us facing Liverpool and Spurs facing Fulham if this stands.

Good point. If we can now give Newcastle a hiding tomorrow, we could breeze through those two Liverpool games. But for some reason they do seem to raise their game against us.

But you know Liverpool are going to bring their best game, and probably end up in a draw.

And I hope Newcastle make up for that loss.. :D

A big win tonight and I put us as favourites for that fourth spot, even though it's still technically tottenham's to lose.

Torres looks lively and we're dominating the early exchanges. I'm also liking Bertrand, even though he hasn't done much, he has good control and technique.

No excuses not to win this one, a strong squad, on good form, absolute must win. **** Cisse.

To make matters worse, Spurs score. We have to win this one. I get that RDM is saving some players for the Liverpool final, but surely guaranteeing 4th is more important. Sure, even if we win, we still need Spurs to drop points, but if we lose here, we're done for, and we will HAVE to beat Munich in the final for CL football, which is even harder.

Anything but a win and I fear for us..... I think we will be almost guaranteed not to finish fourth and also that our good run coming to such an abrupt end could take the wind out of our sales and cause us to lose the FA cup final this weekend on the bounce....
