They eliminated Real at Copa Del Rey and won Super Coppa against them + they defeated Real with ease in first league match. I think they lost to injuries, fatigue of so many matches, luck and some of Pep's bad tactical descisions.

They played 6 matches against each other last year, Barca won 3, Real 1, 2 draw. Barca was a better team in head-to-head matches. They did so many dramatic draws.

We lost the league because of the draws against low-rated teams, not because of the Clasico in Camp Nou. The league was lost 3 months before that match. But this is already getting so off-topic..

I don't want to make excuses, but they were busy with champions league final during last couple of years and league was over, so they played with B team at the end of those seasons and lost few points.

You cannot say they were the best team simply because of the points. For example, United got 89 points last year which is all time highest for second team, but were they the best second team ever, NO. that being said, the distance between Barca-Real and others were huge last year, it was more about who can score more. Messi himself grabbed 50 goals.

Why wpuld West Ham pay 17m and wages on Carroll (which they can't afford when they can loan Lukaku for free? Liverpool won't sell, Qest Ham can't buy and Carroll won't gavour the move.
