The lowest scoring final rounds ever. No end to end classic to be found. The best games are usually by the former powerhouses.

As I said this before in this forum as the turnament makes its self to the 2nd round, quater finals.... it will get boring. Why? Cause less teams will take less chances and will play more deffensive. This is what I have came up with since 86 WC. But one thing that I can tell ya is that this is the best and most exciting WC since 86. I m not saying this because of my country going to the last 4, but all the none popular teams nocked out the power house teams, this made it more exciting.
WOW what a World Cup we are having. Don't be surprised if S.Korea and Turkey in the finals. And I am hoping for these 2 teams, we will support for both teams in the finals of this WC.

I hope we'll have our classic game in the final match, Liternit. Lets just hope that Brazil and Germany win ther games.
Those 2 you mention, BrasilxEngland and EnglandxArgentine, fell short of expectations, imho.
CANADIAN.10, although I agree that having underdogs reaching this far in the competition is exciting, what really should count is how good the games are played, and we all know that the quality has been very scarce so far.

I'd set Argentina - England as the '86 classic...
The two goals by Maradona in that match are probably the 2 most classic goals in the World Cup history along with one special goal from '66...
The best game so far when it comes to end to end play was Sweden vs. Nigeria. That was a good open game...
But there will be classics from this World Cup. Considering the controversy around Korea's games at least the Spain game will become a classic.

Yes thats what I excatly meant. First Round games were very exciting I think. Second round got little boring even BrazilvEngland game where 2 power house teams. I was not impressed with those 2 teams at all untill the end of the match.

Yes, the semis will now be one game where one team only will try to destroy the play and another one where I'm afraid Korea will not be good enough and maybe also too fatigued to keep the great play they showed prior to the Spain game.

I don't understand some people here. The WC it self is a class, why do you need a clasic game for. All the games are clasic to me.

None of the England games from this World Cup will be classics more than maybe in Great Britain in the same way as none of the Swedish games from this World Cup probably will be classics outside of Sweden...
Cause the Argentina-Sweden game will become a classic here thanks to the free kick goal by Anders Svensson.
