First I would like to thank you so much for developing this app to allow FIFA16 being incredibly more complete and engaging to play. I always dream being able to see how the others teams and players are doing and it has always been impossible to see in FIFA (outside of the competition you are part of).
Second I would like to argue, and it will hurt me to write it, that you are doing it for the wrong FIFA game. Your app is about creating a manager like experience that allows playing all the games yourself (or sim them or watch them if it is your thing). The team tactics and the way they translate on the field plays a big part of the enjoyment one can get on the long run with such a manager experience, because you are forced to think and adjust your tactics depending on your opponent.
The problem with FIFA16 is that team tactics in the course of a game plays all really similar no matter how extreme they might be set. A CPU team might start the game playing with long ball, but if they don't get enough possession they will automatically switch to the auto define tactics to play possession. Those auto tactics erase too often the team identity set in their default tactic to make all game play pretty much in a similar way. At this point, you must keep in mind I am a huge defender to FIFA16, but if their is one thing where FIFA16 falls short, it is the opposition diversity in the way they approach their games. You can take as an illustration of this, the fact that Krebstar at operation sport didn't release any custom team tactics for FIFA16 because of their lack of impact in game.
On the other hand, despite being older and not as good looking, one of the main strength of FIFA14 is that tactics have a strong impact in this game and you can feel the playstyle of every opponent. Positioning and offensive/defensive movement of every player can also been tuned to allow even closer to reality team identity. Again, despite being older, FIFA14 is in my opinion the closer to nowadays football in terms of teams positioning and pressing behavior on the pitch. The way the pitch is compressed and the way opponents attackers and midfield are pressing your team is much more efficient and realistic than in FIFA16. When you play the ball at your back you can feel the pressure and mistake are punished accordingly if you take too much risks.
I know you said you are not interested to port your app to FIFA14, but I believe it is the game that would make your app shine the most as a true manager experience.
