Winning Eleven Online
Konami plans full 11 vs 11 Online for future versions.

October 5, 2005 - Konami has some big plans for Winning Eleven on the Xbox 360. In an interview in the latest Famitsu, series producer Shingo "Seabass" Takatsuka revealed that not only does he plan on including Xbox Live Online play with the upcoming Xbox 360 version, but he eventually hopes to realize full 11 versus 11 Online play. It's unclear if we can expect this feature in the next installment, which is due on Xbox 360 in late 2006, but Takatsuka feels that 11 versus 11 play is something that Xbox 360 and other next generation systems should be capable of.

Takatsuka also reveals to the magazine that his team is planning a number of things for future Winning Eleven installments, including creating more accurate digital representations of real world athletes. The future is bright for soccer fanatics.

If I was him I`d get licenses for all the nat and club teams.. so these patch makers can rest a little bit.

11 vs 11 sound good, but i dont wanna be the keeper.
And it will be hard to find with 22 humans and not 1 single one is going to lame around, scoring own goals etc.

Seabass will find a way to make it work. I'm sure of it. Put aside the negative thoughts for a second, and imagine how much fun it would be to play with 21 other people. Communication via headset would be a must.

Same with all other online games I think, in FPS shooters you have team killers walking around on public servers, in racing games you have people driving the wrong way, crashing etc. But that's why there are clans :)
I've been in the Tribes 2 community for a long time playing 14v14 clan matches, and I have to admit it can be difficult sometimes getting all those people to show up at the same time, but it's definately possible.
Would be so cool to form teams together in a future Konami football game and then start online competitions etc. :bouncy:

Oh and I don't mind being the keeper btw ;)

things are looking good for next gen... i just hope PS3 is out when the next gen pes/we comes out... if not, i think i might just have to get a 360 until PS3 comes

As long as your player was able to kick and throw a punch or 4 or 5 ! if your opposite No kept fouling you :taz:

but how would the camera work during 11 vs 11??
Libero grande style is the only one i can imagine, but thet would suck because of lack of vision.

i would think that it would be individual camera view for each player, like in online FPSs.

You can probably use whatever camera you want and watch the radar when the action is offscreen.

it will be great. You can have cool clans. It will be funny for example when someone makes mistakes etc. and if you are on mic and can talk to each other that would own!

I think "wide" camera angle should be good enough to play in fixed position.
Clearly the radar is still necessary.

Maybe ...do you remember ISS on PC with close up window appearing during dribbling?
A thing like that if you want to take an eye on your position on the pitch if you don't use fixed camera, would be pretty good, isn't it?

Btw controlling the keeper wouldn't be that easy...
but sounds interesting...

Surely If Takatsuka "san" do it.. he'll do it good! :bouncy:

You can't help getting worried, when a KONAMI official speaks about WE/PES on next-gen consoles in terms of GAMEPLAY....

A MASSIVE and GIANT Graphical improvement ppl... that's what everyone is expecting from the game's versions of the Xbox360 and PS3.... REAL CGI GRAPHICS.... if you don't want to talk about that, then talk about BUYING LICENSES... Konami is far from a poor company...

11-on-11 is sure a good idea... but it's not THE idea...

very true.

11-on-11 online = BORING

Better idea:

4-on-4 INDOORS online game.

Coz simply, sometimes, in a 10 min game, a defender could only touch the ball ONCE during the entire game... and in an online game, when that happens, believe me, the last thing he's gonna do is make an easy, one-touch pass.... it's just stupid.

Whereas in 4-on-4 all 4 players are indispensable, and each will have their fair share of the game... Besides, it's just time Konami included an indoor soccer game...

I think alot of you are misunderstanding. What's wrong with having 11 vs 11 as an option? Most online games will still be 1 on 1, but if you could organize a game on a forum with people you know, that would be awesome. And you would't organize that many people to play just one game. You would play a series of games and switch positions between games. With the right people, it could be alot of fun.

Now if some douchebag did manage to get in the match and try to ruin it, there would most likely be an option to vote him off. His player would then be controlled by the AI until a replacement came along.

Remember, it's just an option.

Agree, other things should come first (unless 11 vs 11 takes very little work and time for KONAMI to do). Graphics and better gameplay should come first IMO, and smoother online play.

11 vs 11, camera is not a problem, you can have individual player camera, the problem is how will people play as a team, everyone will like to be a striker or a offensive midfield, but i guess is possible, it just a matter of us.

and we dont need all 22 people to play maybe me and 5 of my friends could play and the others 16 player could be controlled by the AI.

In terms of gameplay I want real life phycsis, by this I mean a better player collition detection. I see next gen as the animationless era, everything by physcis, I dont want to see all players shooting the same way and style every time. It's hard to explain but anyway I'm very optimistic and I trust in Konami's work, already compare to other sports tittle PES is next gen. So I know I be awe when I get my hands on in the next gen PES.
