The Good and the Bad......My Unabashed Review

The Good:

Gameplay is greatly improved - I love the one tough feel. This is real football (soccer)!

Graphics are superb - again it fees real!

The Bad:

Career Mode
The inability to select your team of choice in Career mode is absolutely banal - hopefully it can be fixed with a patch!

Human Simulation Ability
A major oversight, EA has NOT provided the capability to sim games which you do not wish to play - what was the logic here?

They do have the ability to simulate the games you don't want to play, the second line in the carrer mode, simulate next match. Personally I like the way the Carreer mode is now, it drives you to play it for longer. before, when we could pick whatever team we wanted and just be that team I could only play for about 1 season, the second season just felt like a repeat to me, but now it's more challenging, you start with a lower league club, move up, and try to build up a reputation to be selected to manage your favorite club, you can even choose another region at the end of each season which is cool if you want to take a break from f.ex. the EPL and play in the la liga or sum

One cannot however sim a human controlled teams match in Torunament mode.............

You can't sim in tournament mode but I don't see why you would want to anyway. I think it's more handy for those in career mode.

I agree with your first two points though. Playing this game on the Xbox it doesn't get much better than this in my opinion.

well its only a pain in long seasons or such, but hey you can play 2 minute halves and they go fast

Yes. The argument that it is better because you are forced to pick a bad team and play longer is not valid.

If you could pick any team for a career there is no where it says you have to pick the best team. You could still pick one of these worse off teams to start with.

You pick your favourite team at the beginning of the game, and for good reason. Because if you're successful you could end up getting an offer from your favourite team. This way playing as your favourite team in career mode will seem really special.
