Please take time to read these suggestions, pals,trUst me,it's really really really worth reading.I've painstakingly compiled and added more great suggestions from almost all the main suggestions in the FIFA2000 forums.(Please take note that I may not type out your name beside the suggestion, cos that would take hours, sorry about that)
These are the really sensible elements that will make FIFA2000 a true fans' favourite! As I'm a pro player,I know how it is to be on and off the field.(Take note:I'm not Harry Kewell!)
-better referee:the realism of the game had been affected by the pathetic number of fouls by the computer in FIFA99.Make it that the computer plays quite an aggressive game, especially in crucial games. And make suspensions frequent.
-injuries:in FIFA99 once in a blue moon do players get injured, and that,is a serious flaw in teh game.Players should really get injured MORE often like in real life.Players should be more vulnerable to injuries too when they begin to show fatigue.EA should make gamers feel the disadvantage and heartache of having your player(espeically your star players) injured for long periods
-ultra-hectic pace:the MAIN bad, bad, bad thing about FIFA99.The pace is just too quick compared to the beautiful elegant game of real life.Realism is what we want!
To add to this, slow down the passes(they're so lightning quick, they make shots look weak!) and gameplay...other stuff may be elaborated on.
-LARGER fields:the tiny fields of FIFA99 make the gameplay scrappy and not-so-enjoyable.Take a look at fields in real life, lush and large...(remember:the field covers over 70% on our screen)so you guys really need to buck-up on the field side of the game with MuCh larger fields.oh yeah, the new grass-like pitch that you've shown us in FIFA2000 screenshots make the appearance of the pitch look nicer.
-more realistic crowd(appearance):look here,I'm not asking for anything so elaborate like fighting and fans asking for trouble
,just some really sensible suggestions, the crowd looks really 2D at the moment with FIFA99..a 3D-look and perhaps, moving crowd would REALLY help in FIFA2000 'cos atmosphere lovers(like me
) would GREATLY appreciate that.AND,one suggestion(which I think would be JUST GREAT for FIFA2000) I've heard from many other fans,is that to make the crowd stand up in unison right after a goal is scored and rejoice.I've seen COUNTLESS of this kind of stuff in matches(on TV and in stadiums),this will REALLY upgrade the FIFA crowd,TRuST me!
-more realistic crowd(audio):the crowd should applause sportingly in encouragement after a brilliant run, dribble, shot, tackle or save by players or goalies. Also, the crowd should become excited with fast breaks(counter-attacks) and goal-scoring opportunities. The crowd should the best in leagues in the game if you know that also boo when players miss easy sitters or fire wide when the player has the goalie at his mercy(like Chris Sutton vs Sunderland)
Tip:the .wav sounds from CM3 can be worth adding to the game.
-movies,especially Cup Presentations!:these will DEFINITELY boast the lastability of the game,DEFINITELY.What for compete for nothing's in store for you eventually?Cup presentations lets you rejoice at your "success" and gives you a "sense of achievement".
-indoor games:1 important point stated here.Indoor games can be fun, although I'm not really so enthusiastic about it.But they really can make a difference for gamers who like fast-paced action or realistic field football.make it that when gamers want PHYSICAL fast-paced action, they can go for indoor games. While when they want the beautiful game from the field, they can choose to play field soccer. It's actually a change in flavour.
-names on shirts:I don't want to elaborate a lot on this, but names on shirts does matter quite a lot as a matter of fact. They add a new dimension into the already-detailed graphics of the game.
-match officials:linesmen and "intelligent" refereescan bring a dose of required realism into the game.An "intelligent" referee should display all the sternness of a match official and make clever decisions.I stress:more fouls and cards needed!
-coaching and playing staff:this part is really optional for you guys although benches are quite important.A coach may be sighted watching or shouting along the sidelines for a little humouR!hehe..
Substitutes coming on and players going off should interact by exchanging a high five or something like that.
-difficulty of the game:EA should make the difficulty slighty more realistic as the world-class mode players seem somewhat invicible on the ball and reckless with tackles sometimes.
-dribbling the ball:If you play pro soccer(as I do
but please take note,I'm not Harry Kewell!),you'll know that twisting and turning is quite a basic but CRUCIAL part in dribbling. In FIFA99 turns play second-fiddle to elaborate dribbling skills like the step-over and sidefoot,and,step-overs can go straight THROUGH opponents in FIFA99!what a joke!I guess I must be telling the coach tomorrow to add a step-over training schedule to training regime now.LOL!
Also,I think that FIFA2000 should add a Steve McManaman style teasing-dribble while holding down the alt key,it makes the game trickier and more fun.
-characteristic of players:Agility plays a very important part in a player.FIFA2000 should make players with higher agility dribble more and twist and turn quicker like Ronaldo. While Jaap Stam-like players should take more time to turn and look more composed.
-long-range shooting:yes, this part affects the goal-scoring department BADLY.Players should be able to score much more frequently with long shots,in fact,in real life,MANY of the goals come from long shots! And if struck well, the keeper should parry it at times instead of catching it all the time. Also, make shots go wild from long range, powerful shots swerving wide or sailing just over the bar are an everyday-thing in football. Some terrible shooters(like me!
),often shoot with the ball going into orbit!
-balls!:hmm..it would be nicer if there were 2 footballs to be used in the game. One for normal conditions(the normal colour ball) and another for snow play(preferrably yellow or orange in colour as these are the colours which stand out in white background.
-RPG-style game(don't be mistaken):Make every player gain experience from the games they've played in,it's like,if a player has 5 games to his name, then 2 points can be added to his attributes. This strongly promotes lastability too!
-not-so-INVINCIBLE realistic goalies:Goalkeepers, goalies, keepers!whatever you call 'em.They make me mad at times in recent FIFA games. They are just so unrealistic. They are a MAJOR flaw in the game...
PoWeRfUL long shots are often caught comfortably instead of parried. The goalie seems so INVINCIBLE in FIFA99!!They recover so quickly from shots, dive like a mad man, catch the ball comfortably like a baseball and behave so irritatingly and weirdly!Improve on these goalies and we'll have a free-flowing un-weird game.
-player's actions:Players should certainly have more on-field actions and behaviour in the game.Instead of having movies of them blaming themselves or sighing, the game should have a much more effective and minimised in-game-and-on-field version of them. There'll be more regular cursing when missing chances. And of course,theatrics..hehe
Another good tip is that players show misconduct or dissent rANDOMLy instead or manually so that the suspension part of the game can be fully deployed to action when they get their yellow or red cards.Players may have bad encounters(like eyeballing or fighting) with other players randomly as the game goes on.And frustration from fatigue can lead to misconduct or bad behaviour. For the Fair-Play part,if FIFA games can have that "delibrate-foul-play" button(the Q button in FIFA99),why not have other nice-to-watch fouls involving misconduct?
-Flair:footie games like International Superstar Soccer(IT ROCKS!!!!!I RATE IT PERHAPS AS HIGHLY AS(IF NOT HIGHER) I EXPECT FIFA2000 TO BE) and Virtual Striker contain lots of flair in their games, where anything is possible.A player might just come with the idea of an overhead kick and score with it.These kind of flair and realism in games are very influential to one's impression of the game and EA can try to emulate that.
Well, although I'm ending this suggestion dicitonary now,I'll be re-opening it if there's enough support from you pals. There'll be plenty of COMPiLed interesting stuff for the guys at EA Sports to read next time.
Please show your support through replies, thanks man,bye for now.
