If you actually saw the game you could see he was the only player on the pitch creating something, it was him against 10 Chileans and 9 Argentinians. He could miss a penalty and score an own goal he would still be the last man to blame.

What a loser to give up like that. He still had 5-6 years at least to try again. Next world cup is in just 2 years. It is his decision though and players are retiring from NT earlier these days.
