Ghana definitely earned that Ayew goal and the 2-1 came out of nowhere, really...guess we'll just have to beat both of them now, and hope for Germany to help us by defeating at least the US.

BTW, Beckerman played a hell of a game.

I thought we'd win as soon as we won the corner, Ghana are just comically bad at defending them, the keeper flapped on most of them and they missed assignments left and right. I'd put money on Eder scoring from one against them.

The biggest lack is the ball possession...
Scoring 2 goals with only 8 shots (I checked the stats) is amazing. It means USA don't need too much occasions to score.
Ghanaians were unfair on the pitch... When you see Dempsey with a bloody nose, the Ghanaian foot were way too high, this kind of fault deserved (at least) a yellow card, I saw red cards for less!

Never forget the injuries... USA needed another plan without Altidore.

Well, next match is against Portugal. We need to win it. USA will be confident after this 3 point victory. It's the reverse for Portugal. They need to score a lot of goals, so it's maybe a chance to have opportunities.

Actually, 1-0 would be enough for us. As long we beat Ghana and you don't beat Germany of course.

I Haven't celebrated a goal like that in years, even Ramos tying game in the CL didn't get me jumping of the couch like this one. Finally beat Ghana and that tops a great couple of days.

what was great to hear after the game was that Klinsmann and Dempsey were talking about improving possession, keeping the ball better, not sitting back, etc. ... it's not a case of "we did what needed to be done" bullsh!t; they are taking what they can get, but aren't deluding themselves regarding the performance, and were immediately ready to both see and admit what needs to be addressed ... also, Bradley played crap, but it didn't cost the team, and he'll certainly improve and show what he can do in his freer role ...
