Well, they're 4th... Financially not even Sporting can compete with Porto and Benfica, let alone Braga. Also some manager instability coupled with their President not really knowing what his plan was (maybe hoping for too much was his problem) made them break in form in recent seasons.

You know, I was thinking about who else on these forums might be watching the FA cup final, and I came to the sudden realization that for some time I have been the only active Brit on these forums. That's quite worrying, there used to be a lot of us, you would expect the country who invented the game with such a sizable population would have more. There used to be more of us - Tom, Stotty, shokz, Ebonix, Chelsea2001, plus the legendary Scots, to name just a few. Where have we all gone? I mean, I know we have jobs to go to, unlike most of the continental football fans (this may be the reason we also no longer have many actual German posters), but still.... you would expect a bit more. I'm reliant on a spanish Jew, a mauritian in Canada and a few other international mongrels to back me up defending the EPL against the multitude of greasy haired, pidgin english speaking wops. Sad times.

Anyway, we do have some EPL fans at least, and even though I will admit the FA cup has sucked hard for over 10 years now, it is still an event, and I'm sure at the very least the Arsenal fans will be joining me?

As you may have detected from my postings I actually quite like Arsenal, but I have no choice but to support Villa today. And given the nature of Arsenal and british cup finals, a Villa win is certainly not impossible.

Walcott to start over Giroud
Szcezny over Ospina

N'Zogbia over Agbonlahor. Wilshere on bench too.

I really think teams should start all their English players in FA cup finals.

Watching Sloane Stephens before the match starts because I refuse to subject myself to Fox's soccer studio coverage.

Will be the first time I've watched Grealish play, heard some really promising things, curious to see him.

Carlos Grealish is so good that I fully expect City to buy him and stunt his development by letting him rot in the reserves.

It's turning into Ozil, Sanchez and Cazorla using their remarkable talents to try and break through an unglamorous but stalwart defence. All others are bystanders right now.
