I mean, I realize that some athletes bloom late, but a dude nearing 30 being bought for 23 million Euros when the club selling him has been demoted to the second division? It's stupid logic and makes no financial sense........very typical of our management and board.

I don't think anything under 25 million euro is an insane asking price for Luca Toni. I mean he was the top goal scorer and he is still a year and some younger then Ruud who didn't have the most amazing season with ManU yet he is still having offers of 15 million euros for him.

So with todays inflated market (THANKS CHELSKI!) is 23 million really that much? I mean I'd rather have Luca Toni for 23 Million Euros then 29 year old Sheva for 30.04 million pounds.

It is official, and its no joke, The 2005/2006 Schudetto has been awarded to Inter!!

ROMA (ANSA) - Lo scudetto 2005-06 è stato assegnato all'Inter. Lo ha stabilito la Figc, dopo aver recepito il parere della commissione di tre saggi creata per dirimere la questione dopo la non assegnazione alla Juve. "Il Commissario straordinario Guido Rossi - si legge in una nota - ha ritenuto di attenersi alle conclusioni del parere e che non ricorrono motivi per l'adozione di provvedimenti per la non assegnazione del titolo di campione d'Italia per il 2005-06 alla squadra prima classificata all'esito dei giudizi disciplinari".
L'assegnazione del titolo della stagione conclusa è stata automatica, sulla base del parere dei tre saggi Gerhard Aigner, Massimo Coccia e Roberto Pardolesi chiamati a dare un parere consultivo "sul quesito riguardante l'assegnazione del titolo di campione d'Italia in caso di modifica della classifica finale del Campionato ". La commissione ha concluso - si legge nella nota - che "in caso di mera revoca del titolo senza modificazioni di classifica, il titolo rimane necessariamente vacante. Diversamente in caso di sanzioni che comportano modificazioni di classifica (come penalizzazioni di punti o retrocessioni all'ultimo posto) l'art. 49 delle Noif prevede l'automatica acquisizione del titolo di campione d'Italia per la squadra che risulta prima classificata, tenuto conto delle sanzioni. Gli organi federali possono tuttavia intervenire con un apposito provvedimento di non assegnazione quando ricorrono motivi di ragionevolezza e di etica sportiva, ad esempio quando ci si renda conto che le irregolarità sono state di numero e portata tale da falsare l'intero Campionato , ovvero che anche squadre non sanzionate hanno tenuto comportamenti poco limpidi". Tenuto conto di questo Rossi si è attenuto alle conclusioni, attribuendo automaticamente lo scudetto alla prima classificata, l'Inter appunto, al termine dell'iter disciplinare. Resta vacante invece lo scudetto 2004-05, revocato alla Juventus anche dalla Corte federale nel giudizio di secondo grado. (ANSA).

MILAN - Inter has won 2005-06 Italian League by automatically awarded. The F.I.G.C. confirmed the victory, after having received the decision of the special committee formed to reassigned the title previously awarded to Juventus.

its great that it was awarded to us since Juve cheated...

but this is not what I've been waiting for...

I want them to beat Milan and esp Juve...playing soccer...I understand the other positions on this issue but for me...it just doesn't count

even though you could argue that we won legit because we only played soccer and didn't influence the refs...its still tainted though

It will give me a little more satisfaction if we win it this year...but without Juve and with Milan docked points...it just won't be as sweet

I don't think many people see this as a title win. Only a divider between fair and unfair, this title win shows Inters intentions of fair football at a top level.
