The Azzuri are packed with SO much talent. Its absolutely pathetic for a team with so many great players to almost always play poorly and either barely get by or tie.
I seriously don't know who to blame. The coach? The players? The formation? The basic Italian tactics as a whole? The media's pressure?

You wanna say italy is overrated? how about England, who havent achieved anything close to the above.

About Italys 'failure' in european club competition. I know its ages ago, but if you are old enough to remember, go back to 2002/2003 when 3 of the 4 finalists in CL were Italian. And as of right now, Italian sides are doing better than any other country with 3 of their sides leading their groups.
About quality of Serie A, this is what ill say. Im Italian so, obviously i'll favour the league. Ive also watched the EPL the past 3 or 4 seasons. Ill admit the EPL can be exciting, but this season the quality has been awful. I used to look forward to saturday mornings and wake up early for games, while now i wake up whenever and just watch whats on. Watching Arsenal destroy teams that dont even put up a fight is just boring to me. I think there 50 game unbeaten streak has more to do with the crappy defences and poor opposition than Arsenals dominance. Theres a reason why Henry looks so good in EPL, while often fails to impress when in CL or playing for France, not to mention failed in serie A.
On the otherhand, the Serie A has been amazing this season, even neutrals agree. If youve watched some of the games this season and havent been satisfied, than you dont like football. I always heard La liga was so great, but i havent been able to see games until this season. and so far, like claupa said, its been very dull, maybe when i see a game with the top 3 against eachother itll be different.
EDIT: and spurs4life,about your comments about Vieri and Totti being overrated. Vieri is past his prime, hes already proven how great a striker he is. Hes getting old now, so obviously his scoring rate will lower.
About Totti, i doubt you watched him play for Roma last season, because if you did you wouldnt have called him overrated. Theres a reason he was linked with Real Madrid, and unlike Beckham its because of his ability.
thanks for saying all this Mikey, I felt I had a lot to get off my chest after reading the arrogant, stupid comments made by some people. It just disgusts me how unlucky Italy has been in recent years. Particularly 2000 and 2002.
If your country (England, or Germany or wherever) was constantly getting screwed out of winning wouldn't you get impatient? I certainly do.. I think Italy is just a bit misunderstood and anyone who understands, like Mikey and claupastore, will not be so quick to criticise Italy.
