ok well..to be specific, i would like to discuss abt the european football..

well..the ch. league is a perfect example.
just look at the second round..if u switch to each match..u can easily see players with bloods, players elbowing each other, punching ( & of course, the ugly scene at mestalla).
++ damn, just look at sergio ramos vs bayern munich..

i dont watch much european football except spanish la liga & of course english premier league. well these kind of things happen too in these leagues...yeah..this is an old topic but nowadays..i do think it is over the limit. this will surely bring a bad image for kids esp.

then, why do we asked our kids to not watch wrestling but they can still watch football?

discuss..

*sorry for my english :$

These are isolated incidents though... most of them acts of cowardice more than anything.

Footballers over all are pussies. Last thing the game needs is to get softer.

I didn't find that Inter-Valencia fight "tough" at all, if anything it was kind of embarrassing with all the girly slap-fighting and running away.. While watching it I was thinking "no wonder so many people in North America think Soccer's a sissy sport"

^ Exactly, the initial punch was a cheap shot. And once the guy landed it ... he ran off!! Most soccer fights just make me feel embarrassed really.

yup. i agree with u. but what i tried to say at the first post is definetely isn't what i mean (due to my poor language)
of course that's coward.

but still..it isnt a good image for kids.
punching other players than ran off with brilliant skills..:nape: it's equal to watch women catfight at wwe.

Compared to Ice Hockey fights, football fights are usually pushing and shoving. Footballers in general are too wrapped in cotton wool these days, practically all contact has been removed as it is. Also the prevalence of diving and simulation has added to the "sissy" image. How many times do you see Rugby players feign injury, yet play on with really bad injuries?
