The Moths have gone too far and it is time to make a stand!

Have discovered that the BASTARD moths have wantonly destroyed my beloved Poncho.
My plan to become a cowboy and rescue the poor misshapen inhabitants of St Helens from their desolate plight is in ruins. The garment is now so threadbare that I may have to become a grizzly and unappetising villain figure forever
spitting tobacco and plotting doomed bank robberies.

It wasn't meant to be like this

Vote now and seal the doom of humanities greatest enemy. The foul butterfly wannabes that plague our very existence with their destructive and callous abuse of quality garments.

Moths I curse thee

Question: How should the great moth war be prosecuted?

Wow I hate to go into my old cynical ways, but this thread is just calling for it.

Dude, get a life, or at least one worth living.

Everything off to dry cleaners for chemical retribution, anyone got any tips for keeping them away? Have been looking at a electronic moth repeller which emits the high pitch shrieking of a bat, the moths natural enemy

Poncho is on washing line at the moment, I have too many good memories to part with the damn thing They've done my Soviet Union flag - but a moth eaten symbol of collectivism at least has a certain metaphohical aptness.

I'm starting to see them as merely the first harbingers of this societies inevitable destruction. These are now the end days and soon the moths will be at your door, the latter day inheritors of the Germanic hordes that assailed the Roman empire in its dotage. :(

On the other hand I may be reading a little too much into this

A2 + B2= C2

8x8 x 8x8 = 128

Root = 11.3/2 = 5.7

3.14 X 5.7= Are of circle - area of box(64)= the area of the shaded area.

Tis the curse of genius to be so misunderstood...:(
Anybody else wonder whether this weather chaos at the moment has been caused by the flapping of a moth's wings? :taz:

There was one in India I heard... It caused a hurricane in Florida. Must've been a huge moth.

With the amount of moths in the world the weather system must be tied to them somehow. Maybe we should turn our meteorologists into mothologists.

If the weather depends on where the moths are centered we could control the weather. All's we need is some sort of way to draw them there... Light! :D

I wonder why moths weren't called Icaruses? Or would that be Icarii?

Moths are alreet. Just distract them with a lamp. Or set them on fire.

Bees and Wasps are the real bastards.

a small moth would've sufficed. just a small change in the initial conditions can drastically change the long-term behavior of a system. :S

Cool runnings or white water rafting? Which would you choose? I would choose to be the person they send to MArs to see what it is like to live there! No moths and no Roman Abramovich !

Haven't been on MSN much recently. Too busy atm.

Were the moths those little one that are sort of greyish-beige and look like darts. They don't cause much bother because they're too small. Or is it those big freaky brown buggers, with their big fat bodies that thud into your window because they're too dumb to realise that the window is closed.

Stupid ass flies. You open the window next to 'em and they insist that they can fly through the window that is shut.

Laugh, ahhh, but the moths are not too bad and are easily dispatched with one of those insect repellent bombs, here in OZ we are now facing a plague of people biting BED BUGS, yeah, no BS either, it was featured on a current affairs program a few days ago about the current emergence of these vile things, they are s'posed to be sneaking in through the customs and evading the 'watchfull' eyes of those idiot customs inspectors, duh, well after all they are only about 5 Cm's in size and very sneaky and cunning Bastards too, they lurk inside the sheets awaiting for a victim to to hit the sack, and then they attack in droves, sort of eating you alive whilest you sleep, bloody awfull hey.
