The mount of player price is withhold even when transfer is unsuccessful

Hey!

Is it supposed to be like this? I want to buy a player in manager mode, i'll make him an offer and even if the player doesn't come to my team (for example, the offer was too low), it considers it as a bought and the price of player is withhold from my burse. I've already lost 20 million hereby.

Jeez, I hope not. I was holding off on starting manager mode for the DB update, but I will check that issue out and see if it happens to me.

That would be a terrible error if that happens in the game.

What happens with me is, I will make an offer for the player, then after the next game the money screen comes up as usual but says that I have - so and so for the transfer of a player.

If it is a done deal and I sign the player, it stays taken away. However if the transfer is unsuccessful it adds the money back.

Look at the 'You have failed to sign so and so' message you get, it will state that the funds have been readded to your bank account, I did check this and it is correct, the funds were added back in my game.

mann wat does it take to get a bargain in manager mode, had my negotiator at full and i still had to inflate the price by likr 6 mill and still failed

i've tryed to buy Riise from liverpool to united,offerd 60mill£ and a wage of over 150 (tweaked the money in ini files) but still he wont go to a rival club :chew: talk about loyalty to his club!

I haven't managed to sign ANYBODY yet in manager mode. Apparently every offer I make is 'insulting'. I've tried signing cheap players from clubs below me (I'm playing as Norwich) who ought to want to step up divisions but I'm having no luck at all. I'm even offering way above the transfer fee and wages recommended. How the hell do I get players in?!?!

Increase your 'Negotiation' stat in your Staff section.

I now have it on 10 and players will come to my club even if I offer them below both the estimated transfer fee and the wage they are currently getting.

MAN thas weird , i have my negotiating and full and still, i always fail to sign the players evern if its from spanish segunda, ud think a smaller club would love the money but every club in the game thinks everyone is chelsea, i have to inflate the price like crazy just to get half way "getting closer" ticker

Well I found that some players just dont want to sign extened contracts. The first time I tried to sign Fabregas on a 5 yr deal but the little prick didnt accept my offer. So later on in the season I ask him for a 2yr deal raising his salary just a little bit and giving him a 5% bonus for every goal scored. Low and behold he signs the 2yr deal and not the 5yr deal which coulda seen him have high pay.

And whats up with Man U trying to buy all my gunners??? they came in trynna get 5 of my players from my starting line up. F#$# off dammit im not selling to my rivals.

I believe the transfer system is similar to 06 in that the likelyhood of a successful transfer depends on the negotiation stat as well as your reputation stat as a manager (the number next to your pic).
