Ha! And to think he broke his contract and alienated all the MLS fans who absolutely loved him just to force a move to this club only a few months ago!

Ballsy decision by Klinnsman, probably gonna backfire as you have no hope in hell of making it out of the group but now when you dont everyone can blame it on that decision.

I usually love it when the US fails, but I'm hoping they do well enough so that Klinnsman looks like a genius for snubbing Donovan.

Maybe Klinnsman wants to get sacked so he can move to Tottenham easier

He's getting paid a ton and has a deal until 2018, they won't sack him.

Mineros de Zacatecas lost the promotion to Pachuca in 1997...UA de Guadalajara was very close to gaining promotion this past tournament but lost to their city and university school rivals U de G. aka Leones Negros.

Love the U de G uniforms back in 1st Division.

I'm hopping on the bandwagon. If recent events are any indications, lion mascot teams achieving promotion seem to be a good bet. (H)

Leones Negros had better attendance records than both Atlas and Chivas in recent games at Estadio Jalisco. The past couple years, even while playing in 2nd Division, Leones Negros had huge crowds. 30,000+ in attendance for Leones Negros will be a norm for them next season. Chivas could only but wish they had half of those numbers at their new stadium.

It's safe to say Guadalajara has 3 'big' clubs.

Their mascot reminds me of the Rastafarian lion...some of my cousins graduated from U. de G. and their kits are one of a kind, enough reasons for me to like the team.

Marc Crosas, José María Ortigoza and Leandro Cufré are their first transfers. Descent signings IMO, especially Cufré and Ortigoza who came over from city rivals Atlas.

Yeah, U de G has a ton of fans, that's one thing I noticed managing them on FM. Humberto Hernandez is a decent keeper too.

He was a starter in the beginning but gradually began coming off the bench and splitting time as a sub/starter. This past tournament he was basically a bench player with very little participation; this triggered his move to Leones Negros in hopes of becoming a starter once again which I think he'll do when you consider newly promoted sides need proven veteran players to keep a team afloat in a 1st Division.

I'm sure he'll be a starter next season and raise his game back up again.

He had some good performances in the Champions League too.

The Ascenso MX is a hot ass mess. So many changes.
