"Oh come on! It's just a whiskey bottle!"

Dispicable, dispicable fans. To think that some people called them the best fans in Spain... They need to shut that place down or doc the team points for that hideous display.

William, I frequently read the forum but I don't have a screen name yet. I should get around to that. What's your name there? I love to read people's opinions there especially because they're so bogged down in sevillismo and the language used is andalusian to the extreme.

I just saw the highlights to that game...WOW. Leo saving two penalties...the first one looked like Saviola dived, I could be wrong but it does not matter it was missed anyways. That bottle:O.

So they basically got what Barca got after thier incident. Well how could they close their stadium after not closing Nou Camp? So now its just been lowered to paying a small fine.

I don't know how far it flew but that could kill.

Hooligans are hooligans everywhere, you cant judge all the crowd cause the 1000-2000 bastards of Frente Atletico.

No, of course it's not everybody and that's not what I meant, sorry. I'm not familiar with Frente Atletico, but they sit behind the goals, right? That's where the whiskey bottle and beer can came from, but the Sevilla players also had stuff thrown at them as they ran into the tunnel around midfield. You can't blame that on Frente Atletico, unless I am mistaken about where they sit.

I feel bad for the supporters who are passionate but don't join in these shenanigans because it gives the whole crowd a black eye. Still, a 3000 euro fine is a joke.

how did a glass bottle get in the stadium in the first place? they are supposed to be pat down and not allowed inside, specially not behind the goals.

The spanish FA does not help. The presidents of the clubs putting the blame on the refs, instead of their supporters do not help either. Every game played in spain all players, coaches, fans always blame the refs for every single thing that happens to their team, that eventually makes the refs the targets for the violence. Is time to step up the penalties and cut this off before it gets really really bad. I also wish the refs had the balls to show more direct red cards for violent play like they do in England.

Well like I said earlier the FA ( Villar ) put themselves in a bad spot when they did not close the Nou Camp, its a lose lose situation now. If they close a teams staidum than there is an outcry of how unfair that is and when its a small fine theres another outcry about that. Now about your second point, the refs shwoing MORE direct red card?? I want them to stop giving away pks, stupid second yellow and direct reds that would not be a yellow or eve a foul in England.

Help?

The Spanish FA has to take some lessons from the English one, i don't think that they are worried about the funding for their summer vacations enough.

that was my pt about the refs, they give stupid yellows and then when is time to actually show the cards because of hard play they don't.

Sevilla scores, after owning Valencia and even missing a penalty they score. Sevilla wins it 1-0, they could have scored more.

and they didn't even play with the starters!

Marti, Saviola, Kanoute, Ocio and Adriano were in the bench, and Maresca was injured. So very good result and hope Sevilla stops missing penalties.

Now let's hope Deportivo plays with the ''centenariazo'' spirit.

How many penalties can Sevilla miss in one week? :boohoo:
ok, lets say the week started on Monday and ended today, Sunday. Therefore if Sevilla played Atletico on Thursday and missed two penalties, that is 2. Today, Sunday, Sevilla played Valencia and one penalty was missed. Hence 2 plus 1 is 3, so if I'm not wrong the answer to your question is 3. :)
