I'm not sure about that. I think, if anything, Sevilla would take the CL spot of the 4th team in la Liga. The FA decide. If Real Madrid end forth, you can forget about it. In that case, Sevilla would play CL only if UEFA give Spain a fith spot, like England this season (Liverpool). It was controversial with the CL winner, I don't think they'd do it for the UEFA Cup winner. Unless they've changed the rules.

Well, seems just like, the right thing to do. Of course, the UEFA Cup is a good tournie to win nonetheless, but apart from the prize money, what would make it so special to win a 2nd string tournament (arguably)?

Anyway, when i've got more time on my hands i'll research about it.

Haha, well come on. It's a valid point. He would have put Barca too if there was any chance of them finishing fourth.

How is Saviola doing at Sevilla (how many did he score, general performance, etc.) and what's his status?
Will Barcelona let Sevilla integrally buy him or will he be loaned again next season to another club?

Barça will sell him this summer, there's only one more year in his contract. Saviola didn't start very well with Sevilla but now he's doing better. He's happy in Sevilla and he's said that he would like to stay but Sevilla's president is not sure yet. Saviola would have to accept lower wages. IMO he will stay at Sevilla.

I think Saviola can be much better than he has shown lately....I'm not sure he would want accept a lower salary .....but then again he may have to.....I really do like him as a player though.

Palop, Marti, Navas and Javi Navarro , you kidding ?

I understand you are angry cause Betis have 2 guys in the team of 33 players called... but please...

Palop: He is not better than Casillas, Reina or Cañizares
Marti: He is not better than Albelda, Xavi, Xabi Alonso, Cesc
Javi Navarro: Even he could be a good defender noone in Spain want him wearing the red shirt. I even prefer Oleguer playing instead Navarro LOL!
Jesus Navas: OK, he could have some chances, cause he can be that kind of player to rape the defense in the last 25 minutes of the match. But having Joaquin, Cani, Luis García, wont be easy for him.
You are so :nape:

Why not Palop, he's been amazing the whole season and probably better than Reina. Then comes Marti, you say he isn't better than Albelda or Xabi Alonso, well he is in better form than them. Snd it seems you only care about the name and reputation of the players called for the NT, have you seen how good Javi Navarro has been playing lately? He is in great form and you gotta be an idiot to take Melli instead of him. haha and you say Navas is ok, but that's just because he's one of the players from Sevilla that has the most ''media coverage'', cause really out of all of them he'd be the last one i'd take due to his recent performances.

So cool, you keep on supporting every single coach the spanish NT and you'lll see how good it goes at the end, why call players from teams like Osasuna and Sevilla when you can call players from Atletico de Madrid or any other ****y player with more media coverage.

I remember somebody saying that the UEFA Cup champions qualify for a spot in the Champions League. Is this true?
Nope, definitely not. The current Champ CSKA Moskva didn't get in this year either.

Congrats to Espanyol for his unexpected victory in the CdR final. And credits to Lotina for reaching such an achievement with that average team (only Tamudo, De la Peña and Luis Garcia stand out from the rest). :jap:
