Tomorrow Spain-Lithuania at Mestalla, 21:30 (local time)

I'd like to see Torres and Villa together up front. I predict another boring match.

Today the U-21 have won 2-0. Goals from Héctor Font and Jonathan(great goal). Iniesta got injured but it doesn't seem serious.

Betis snatch Spanish Cup

An extra time strike from Dani helped Real betis defeat Osasuna 2-1 and claim the Spanish Cup in Madrid on Saturday. RIcardo Oliveira had opened the scoring for Betis, but Osasuna striker John Aloisi levelled things on 82 minutes to send the game into extra-time.

The pint-sized forward raced on to a precise weighted pass from Ricardo Oliveira and fired a sharp shot past Osasuna goalkeeper Juantxo Elia into the far corner five minutes from the end of extra time to notch the winner

The Andalucians had seemed headed for victory in normal time when Oliveira gave them the lead in the 77th minute after taking advantage of a defensive mix-up to dart between Juantxo Elia and Cesar Cruchaga and poke the ball into the empty net.

But the goal prompted Osasuna to throw everyone forward and substitute striker John Aloisi equalised five minutes later and just three after stepping on to the pitch.

The Australian powered in a close-range header at the far post after French midfielder Ludovic Delporte had wafted in a pin-point cross after skipping his way down the left wing.

But Dani's well taken winner spoiled the Navarrans' hopes of lifting their first trophy and Osasuna's misery was complete when Uruguayan midfielder Pablo Garcia was sent off for lashing out at Fernando Varela in the final minute of extra time.

For Betis the victory came at the stadium where they enjoyed their only other triumph in the competition by beating Athletic Bilbao on penalties in the 1977 final.

Me too :( Osasuna played well, but it was a fair result.

On another note, what has happened to Denilson? At one point he was the record signing in La Liga, and now he's a bench player? Does he really suck that much? I mean, he was ok in the last world cup, and since then, he's disappeared......

So he's got great individual skills, but can't play in a team?

I guess that football is full of these kinds of players who never fulfill the expectations, but it just seemed weird with him, as he was very high profile.....

I dont wanna know anything related to spanish football for the next couple of months :(

I'm so dissapointed, it looked so good at the beginning of the season :nape:

Just imagine, its the year of Sevilla's centenary (centenario) were playing very well in all 3 competitions, and everything looks like were gonna complete one of our best seasons in the past 50 years. But then it all starts. First with the UEFA cup, we lose against Parma (a team one step from Serie B) but it didn't matter as much, cause we still had the Copa del Rey and la liga. So then we meet Osasuna in the Copa del Rey (for the 3rd time in a row :( ) and guess what? They win, again. But who cares we're still 3rd in la liga (or 2nd, I cant remember). We even won against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu and against Bilbao at San Mames. And we have another great young player coming up, Sergio Ramos. But suddenly, we play against Betis, and...we lose, after 10 years Betis wins a match against Sevilla. But really who cares? For once that they win in 10 years isn't that bad, is it? We're still third in the table, in our way to qualify ourselves to Champions League, that means we will be the first team in Andalucia to qualify to the most prestigious european competition since it changed its name to Champions League. So it's the final day, decision day, Champions League or nothing, and Sevilla is playing against Malaga, a team who's only objective during the whole season is to win against any of the teams from Seville. But sadly we lose...Everything was going perfect, Betis was drawing with Mallorca, all we needed was to win in our own stadium infront of 46,000 fans. But no, luck and Sevilla don't go along together when we're talking about soccer.

Well atleast Betis won't win the Copa del Rey, lets hope Pablo Garcia puts Osasuna on his back and leads them to their first Copa del Rey, but no, you guys know how it ended...

And today was the final piece of this season, Sevilla's youth team, Sevilla B that plays Segunda A was one step from going to Segunda, which is second division, but they needed one more goal, which they didn't make.

What else is left? Baptista leaving? Or is it Sergio Ramos?

Sorry William, that's terrible.

I remember I predicted that Sevilla would be in the Champions League, but you guys choked like us except our season started terrible and ended better.

How much do you think we'll have to pay to get Sergio Ramos ?

Hope we'll be seeing Real Madrid 'B' there pretty soon. :D

- Valladolid almost made it. :nape:

Senior Squad
i feel sorry for Sevilla... it must feel horrible to lose the Copa del Rey and the CL spot in the last matches, and worst: your biggest rival gets that Cup and that CL spot. :nape:

sorry, william, but i think both (Baptista and Ramos) will leave. Caparros brought both players to the first team, and he already leave, and Baptista and Ramos have offers from big clubs.

Celta :nape: can i laugh of them? ha-ha :hump: -3 points for something really stupid (a very tricky law about 'canteranos', it's really hard to explain) and now they won't win the Segunda title and they couldn't even get the promotion to Primera (1 'jornada' :crazyboy: left) if they don't win the last game. :fool:

Segunda B: Promotion Playoffs

Alcalá - Hércules
Zamora - Castellón
Lorca - Real Unión
Conquense - Real Madrid B

1st leg: June 19
2nd leg: June 26

Winners get promotion to Segunda B :rockman: Hala Madrid!

It's ok as next year you will have from the looks of it brazilian Luis Fabuloso or what maybe Fabiano was for F.C Porto this past season, Fabflop ?

Team Captain
Season was disappointing for Valencia and Deportivo. I'd expected a three-horse race for the title but Barcelona dominated all the way to the title. The good news is Forlan. :lui: I'm hoping Villarreal are drawn with United in the group stages.
