that was ****e,

Freddie is past it i think. Baptista has shown flashes of what he can do but i doubt he will be signed at the end of the season.

Alex was the true beast on the pitch.

CL is becoming stupid?!!?! Just because Real Mandril, Arsneal and some other teams are out, the league suddenly became stupid!? You're funny! I will hope more ****ty teams to ho out, i can't stand watching every damn year one and the same thing- games between oponents that now each other so well, just because they play every year in the last stages of the torunament. The last good CL year was the one that Porto won. With Porto, Monaco, Deportivo and Chelsea in the Semis- this was nice. No Real MAdrd, no other stupdi folks, this was the last year with fine teams approaching the last stage.

Henry to miss rest of season due to injury.
WTF? He didn't even seem injured. I really think the problem this year with him has been mentally. He misses Highbury and has never seemed at home at the Emirates. If you look at his Arsenal career, he has almost scored twice as many goals at Highbury then in all of his away games.
This sucks- It's March 9th and our season is over :$
Hopefully during the summer transfer window we can hold on to Henry and get a big Defender- hopefully Alex

Henrys not going to lose, he needs a big rest so he comes back on all cylinders next season.

People have been saying our football isnt ruthless enough, I say thats a load of crap, of finishing is what is costing us. We are producing chances just not scoring, this has nothing to do with Wengerball, just players not performing

And the fact that your defence is s.h.i.t.

Over elaborate football, has no place in the EPL. The current Arsenal teams pussyfoot around too much . That IS Wengers fault. If you are gonna give him all the credit for the positives, then you must give him the blame for the negatives too.

Arsenal play one dimensional football and it has become very easy to play against them because of their predictability. They only have one way to play, and the players AND the manager do not have the nuance to play a counter game regarding the opposition's tactics. Any team only needs to play a defensive game or aggresive "in your face" tactics, then they just wait for the Arsenal players to wear themselves out and thats generally it. Game over. A successful team need more than one set of tactics to win anything. Anyone should know that especially a team coach/manager.

I do think Henry is sorry he re signed for Arsenal. He can see that Wenger is gonna get nowhere without BUYING a proper player or two. His heart aint in it any more and I think thats obvious to all. Time aint on his side either if he wants to find another club, so he needs to make up his mind pretty quickly if he ever wants to win any more domestic honours, whatever league he plays in. He'll be retired before Arsenal win anything and I think that's what is bothering him.

Now there will not be any CL money coming in to help with transfers. Will tight ass Dein put his hand in his pocket still? I doubt it. He and Wenger will still fob the fans off with all this "The future looks rosy" bulls.h.it, and the fans will swallow that as usual.

With barca having had their problems with eto'o and now henry injured and quite possibly frustrated about the entire arsenal season. You have to start thinking if a possible deal between them is possible.

Lol. How can you say our elaborate style of play doesn't work in the EPL when we have almost won a title every other year since Wenger came. It does work when you finish. That's why we were undefeated in the 2003/204 season. I agree completely with what Mourinho said about needing to change our tactics in tough games, but you're dead wrong when you call us pussies and say our style of play has no place in the EPL.

Firstly...this current "elaborate style of play", for want of a better term, has only been eveident over the last 3 seasons mate. In the last 3 seasons Arsenal have achieved nothing in the way of titles. Before that Arsenal had a more physical side to their game. That is now gone, replaced by some kinda philosophy where its important to pass the ball a million times before the players cross the halfway line. Then they just pass, pass, spass, pass,etc.etc. A team needs a balance of skill and strength and Wenger has forgot all about the latter.

Dont start on that "undefeated season" stuff man. There were many reasons why Arsenal went "officially" undefeated in that season, and not all the reasons were honourable ones. The rest of us don't forget the details even if gooners tend to.

I never called Arsenal pussies at all. Even if they are....I never said that.

Its no good at all in the EPL just having good ball players. You also need a solid defence and a potent attack. It seems like all Wenger thinks he needs to win anything now, is a glut of tricky midfield players. It's gonna take a lot more than what Arsenal have at the moment to win anything.

Wenger cleared out some very important players from his squad long before it was wise to do so.

Ever club goes through a transition EVERY season as players leave and new players arrive. The secret is to try to maintain the team at a steady level without too many changes of personell too soon. Players with a good knowledge of the EPL and the skill and intelligence to know what it takes in this league, need to mixed in gradually with new players and not just given the boot before its wise to do so, so then the team starts a season with too many new faces and not enough experience in the side.

For instance, to refuse Pires a 2 year contract was just stupid and naive on Wengers part. As much as I disliked him, players like that should have been retained so that young players have someone with expertise to learn from. Players like that give a team something that Arsenal do not have any more. Experience, intelligence, patience, these are things learned with age, and unless Wenger buys in someone who is mature enough to steady the young players down, then I fail to see where that "mix" i was talking about earlier can manifest itself from.

Another loss on the road :nape:
Also I know Sendoros is a bad center back, but Gilberto? Toure had to save his ass like 5 times.
I think the problem today with the attack was too much pointless passing around the box. A couple of passes are great, but somebody needs to take responsibility to drive into the penalty area by themselves, or shoot. When you GET IN THE BOX stuff happens. Defenders hate attackers running at them.

Just because we conceded 5 more goals than you in the league?Or because we didnt have any Russian sugardaddy's money to spent on our defence? We conceded 3 goals in the CL group stage while you guys let in 4 albeit in a tougher group. But we got 2 CS against Porto while Chelski got 0.

Now there will not be any CL money coming in to help with transfers

Explain?

There were many reasons why Arsenal went "officially" undefeated in that season, and not all the reasons were honourable ones
Dont get started on that either. Are you trying to say our unbeaten season becomes obsolete just because of some dives? What about your players? Every teams have their divers.

Ever club goes through a transition EVERY season as players leave and new players arrive.
How is the arrival of new players becomes the transition period for a team? The manager could just leave him on the bench if he is having problem adapting. The strength of the team before the arrival of the player is pretty much the same.
Players leaving, on the other hand can become a transition period for a team esp a few core players leave. It's because theese players no longer play for the club, hence weaken the team. Furthermore, Arsene only buy one player to replace 3 big loss. He's trying to blood youngsters through and that takes time, not just one season, hence the transition period.
How many players leave your team every year? or say last year? And you couldnt discount the big players coming in not only replacing the players that left, but also adding more depth ( for example 3 left 4 in).

So Flamini wants out???? Thats fine we should thank him for all his goals and his 100% determination he gave on the pitch. But he just really never had it in him to be in the starting 11.

With the emergence of Diaby and Denilson there is just no more room in the middle of the pitch. I really dont think we need to buy any players over the summer. Maybe a well known Centre Back that can play across the back 4 like Gallas.

I say this because what we need to do over the summer is stop being over elaborate with the ball. What we need is more shots from the top of the key. ESPECIALLY from Hleb who is scared to shoot when he gets himself so open. We need players like Fabregas, Hleb, Rosicky, Theo to start scoring more. I think even Gilberto has more goals than them this season.

You're right, we haven't gotten enough goals from the midfield despite the excellent chances that they have created.
I'm convinced that if Rosicky and Fabregas were wide open in front of a goal they would miss, and if Hleb were there he would pass.
I disagree with you though because we do need to get a proven finisher whether that be a midfielder or foward. I really think Arsenal should go after Giuly on Barca because he would fit into our quick passing play, but would also have the technique to finish- reminds me of Ljunberg in his prime.
Give Fabregas time, but if Rosicky doesn't learn how to finish I honestly think Flamini should be starting over him. Flamini plays hard, crashes the goal, and finishes which is exactly what I don't see Rosicky doing.

And yes Gilberto has scored I think about 7 goals in the Prem (maybe 3 from penalties)
and Fabregas and Rosicky have a whopping combined total of 1 goal
