i would love to have torres here at united but i really dont think he will be here with SAF coming out and saying he wants another nidfielder and that saha could replace ruud but that would be class if we got diarra and torres

It's time for the rumours to stop and to take action, rumours are going on for weeks now but still nothing
If MU want Diarra then better act fast cause I hear that Real Madrid wants him as well :o and of course Chelski is interested but what else is new..

Jaouadinho

there is no chance of him ging to MU, because he has already said he wants to join RM, and personall terms have been agreed with him and real madrid now its just for the two clubs to agree a fee.

but that **** ( lyon preisedent) isnt going to make it easy.

Diarra is not coming even though I would like him here. Nft.

Of course. They got nothing to lose and much to gain. Sell one midfielder and they still have a good enough central midfield pairing of Toulalan and Kallstrom to win the league.

As much as many would want to,including myself,I dont think Diarra wants to come over to OT.If that report posted above is somewhat true,I would get Fernando Torres and Marcos Senna and that should be the end of our purchase for this window.I believe we will get Senna and another forward.Sir Alex loves to buy forwards and he wouldnt want to leave the number 10 kit vacant, would he?

O'Shea dismisses United 'circus'

John O'Shea has laughed off "the circus" which has surrounded Manchester United team-mates Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo in recent weeks.

When Portugal winger Ronaldo played a part in helping England striker Rooney get sent off in a World Cup quarter-final, it sparked a raging debate the duo would never be able to play together again for United.

Nothing could be further from the truth as far as O'Shea is concerned as he insists there is a unified front at Old Trafford, as the club look to dethrone Chelsea as Premiership kings.

"There have been no problems between Wayne and Ronaldo," said O'Shea.

"It's actually been quite funny at times the circus that has gone on.

"Obviously, they weren't team-mates at the time, they were trying to do their best for their countries.

"But they're back now, they're team-mates again and they are looking forward to the season starting."

Far from Ronaldo being sold, as many expected - in particular with Real Madrid mentioned as a potential destination - O'Shea believes the 21-year-old will prove an asset this season.

The Irishman continued: "Look at the way he has come back into training, and with some of the goals he has scored already in pre-season.

"It's just been fantastic to see him back in action and I feel he is going to be a big player for us this season, a major threat.

"I know he has been vilified, but so have other players over the years. The club are used to dealing with it.

"He has had so much pressure on him anyway since he came to the club because of the price the club paid for him.

"But he showed at the World Cup what a talent he is, and he should have won the Young Player award."

O'Shea is concerned Rooney will become a target this season after his dismissal in the World Cup which was followed by a red card in the recent Amsterdam tournament.

O'Shea added: "It was a shocking decision.

"I couldn't believe it, and the television replays back that up a little bit. I guess it was just one of those things.

"But with his profile he is going to have to be wary because opposing teams and players are going to target him.

"But if you tell Wayne to change you are taking away half his game, and the club won't tell him to do that because he is one of the best players in the world."

but think about it...lets say there is really a rift between ron n roo...do u guys think, lets say o' shea would come out and say to the public "yeah, its hell in the club right now, since they are fergie's favs, we really dont think we could win anything this season, and there will be no more signings"...right?! im not sayin there is a rift or there is not...im just stating the obvious...its public image...

Even Rooney has came out and said everythin's alrite between hiim and ronaldo... so whats up with the media and stevie G. Anyway its a dead issue as far as i m concerned.. no point bringing it up.

As for the transfers, Why arent we signing Senna...i dun understand the delay. Are we gonna wait till chelsea or other club come in and snatch him away? like how ronaldinho went to barca.

i think senna is a last option...maybe fergie is still trying to make a deal with other DMs and if he cant land any of them, then he might get senna...since senna is a bit old, he's 30 right?

Fernandez

Team Captain
I hear stories that Villarreal want more than double than the 4 million we were willing to pay. Somewhere within the amounts of the Ruud deal. That could explain why the deal is taking so slow. Hopefully, a deal might be reached.

The senna deal is stalling because he's not their first choice.

Shevchenko-[7], you should have been a Madrid fan.

haha considering Milan's stupid policy, you could be right :D

but the positive thing on your side is that he earned a call to the Italy U-21's which in a way eliminates the "tradition" that only Italian based players play for the Azzurri. This could mean he could be yours for a long time (Y)
