If Fergie plays 4-5-1 again against Benfica too, then don't be surprised if we lose. That tactic doesn't leak goals, but doesn't score any. We barely scrapped through Benfica with it away, we did beat Copenhagen at home, but lost to them away and to Celtic using that horrible tactic. Would have been perfect if we had Ruud instead of Saha, but why the **** are we playing a lone striker with Saha, when my friging cat knows that he needs support to score goals. Saha is not a poacher, he needs the freedom to run with the ball and how can he do that with 3 defenders attacking him.

I'm disappointed that United lost this match.
The face of Winning Eleven has done it again, Nakamura probably has cult hero status now after scoring another free kick against us in such a important game.
Though I did not think Vidic's tackle warranted a foul, if someone were score against us, I would hope it was Nakamura with a goal of immense quality. amazing goal.

I thought it started off as a 4-4-2, but now that I look back at the game, It did look like a 4-5-1 was used in the second half. Also, didn't Ronaldo play central for a bit? Anyways, it seems that for domestic matches we use the 4-4-2. So why mess with it in Europe? But yea, SCRAP THE 4-5-1!!!!
Fergie used 4-4-2 against Celtic on the first matchday and gave up 2 soft goals, plus a few other close calls, ever since he has been starting games with a 4-5-1, to control the midfield and hope that other teams crack. After the Celtic game, i only remember him starting with 4-5-1 and switching to 4-4-2 in that home game at Copenhagen, where after switching to 4-4-2 we started raiding them.coach said:
