Not really a tournament, just United play Kaiser and Orland once and then the two teams play against each other to determine who will get a second game with United.

but we failing to perform ans SCORE is what I regret.
especially after our senior players like Scholes and Giggs run their mouth over the last week that we are better than ever and need to perform bla bla bla andd all sh*t.

dissapointing.

to be fair it was a very inexperienced and young side up against kaizer's 1st team...soo not too bad i guess but the performance during 90 mins was disappointing.. the best chances felt to kaizer

inexperienced?think again

United: Steele (Foster, 77), Bardsley, J Evans, Brown, Evra, Fletcher (Miller, 77), Scholes, Giggs, Richardson, Rossi (D Jones, 59), Dong (Eagles, 77).

and Rossi has played against reserve sides over the past 2 years which are loads better than Kaiser Chiefs.
not to mention Eagles and dFoster who playedd in the champioship. and Jones playing in the dutch team

Its a PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY FFS. These guys aren't half the way near to being completely match fit.

IT WAS A FRIENDLY!
christ the way people go on. its a meaningless game used for building stamina and getting mtach sharpness, never read anything into friendlies especially pre-season ones i mean you can tell how seriously we took the game with ben foster taking a penalty!
anyways next match is on wednesday 7.45 against celtic live on channel 5 should be a good game with the return of most of the senoir squad back from wc duty, i bet ronnie gets a great reception from all the bitter scots

yes mate i agree.
can easily forget bout it.
but at the same time, arent the players of the other team also short of match fitness?
anyways, we created loads of chances and dong could have got a hat-trick.
better finishing and we have laodds in attack

HAHAHAHA Wow, I'm speechless. I dont know which piece of news is more humorous, the loss to Kaizer Chiefs, or Sir Alex's comments.

First Foster was a sub in the 77th minute, and you cant criticise either keeper since no goals were conceded. The team included no world cup players, and it still wasn't the full strength second team. Everybody needs to realise its also in Africa, if anybody has ever tried playing in such a climate, they would understand the massive difficulties behind playing in it, especially if you've never played in it before. Its a meaningless friendly, and to tell you the truth, everything considered, the defeat doesn't bother me in the slightest. Especially because they only lost on penalties.
