Ronaldo is young but he is not that young afterall. I am younger than him but at least i know what to say and what not to say. I am not against him or anything, just feel that he just need to keep his mouth shut sometimes. I cant believe we let Zokora go to Spurs, and still want to buy Carrick for 14 mill. Makes zero sense. Unless we're signing a defensive midfielder along with Carrick.

I would have preferred Hargreaves to Carrick actually . And I'm sure Hargreaves, even though English, would not have cost 14 million.

Michael Carrick is younger than Owen Hargreaves and is still learning his trade, he will flourish under the guidance of Sir Alex. Hargreaves is busier in terms of running, Carrick is a true holding defensive Midfielder.


As for Ronaldo, I think he sounds totally confused or he's desperately backtracking because Madrid have been warned off. I wouldn't be surprised if his agents/advisors have been putting words in his mouth. United fans will support him as long as he is committed to the club, and recently that is very much in doubt.

i think it makes perfect sense. Carrick to Zokora? Carrick is english, zokora is not. Spurs have enough english players to worry about home nationality cap, while we could use a few home players.



And again, why is everyone thinking so highly of Hargreaves now, like he is one of the best midfielders in the world? All i saw from him is perform in 1 single game and now everybody thinks that he is amazing. I haven't seen much of him in german league, but german league is of a little bit lower standard than english league, while carrick has been one of the main reasons why Spurs did so well in EPL last season. Personally, i'll take carrick over hargreaves, but what i'm even more happy about is that our midfield problem might be solved. With Scholes coming back as well, we should do just fine there. Now we just gotta sort out the Ruud and Ronaldo situations and find replacements for them if needed.

Ruud can be replaced by Saha - with Rossi graduating to the first team. We'll also have Ole back too (and Alan Smith in September) If we were going shopping for a new striker though, I'd like ideally Torres. Although maybe Saviola could do a job for us.

Midfield would certainly look better with Carrick and Scholes - but I'd love to see United get Gattuso and Pirlo (if Milan go down) I'd sell Darren Fletcher and bring David Jones up into the first team instead, alongside Chris Eagles and Gerrard Pique. Pique can operate in the back four and also in Midfield too.

It's all warm and fuzzy that Carrick is English and all, but he's not the type that will go and win the ball for us, he's also not the player that will be the engine room and drive our midfield forward. Zokora is a midfield monster with a rolls royce touch, what do you want? The English national team? Or a class team? We dont need any creative midfielders, we have Jones and Scholes. We need friggin midfield monsters like Gattuso. Snarling dogs who aren't afraid to kick the **** out of the opposition and make them think twice before stepping in our half.
