SAF needs to take a liberal dose of his own medicine. He always bangs on about no player is bigger than the club, yet here he is thinking he can walk on water cos he is the manager of Manchester United and as soon as he falls out with a player he flogs them off. Don't get me wrong he has done some great things at United but United have lost some great players due to Ferguson's petty childlike behaviour. I dont claim to have done as much as SAF it is just my opinion I was under the impression that this is what this forum is for, or do we have to conform to what some spud sucking, left footer has to say. :read:

look no one is bigger then the club,i totally agree with ya,but no player should be bigger then the manager and wat are u implyin in your last 2 lines

O yeah well then so do the journalists cause again tonight they said Ruud left Manutd because of bad blood between Ruud and SAF.
I just saw it on TV where they were stating that so ermmm.... Ruud himself said before a Dutch tv-station that he and SAF were not getting along anymore that's no big secret.
Better concentrate on getting a new striker now, hopefully Smith will get his chance now to shine :)

yeah and wat is your point i said he wasnt force out,he didnt want to sit on the bench simply we all now sir alex and ruud had a falling out wats the big deal but he could have stayed,he wasnt playing well,he looked as if he didnt want to play and sir alex stuck him in the bench and he stormed out like a little child and when he knew he was getting his wy bu going to real he put a big smile on his face at training, dont het me wrong one of united best ever but he couldnt except that he wasnt number 1 or number 2

and is there anything else on carrick and mascherano?????

Its a well known fact that if SAF falls out with a player then he is on the bench no matter if the guy is scoring 2 goals a game if SAF has words with him then its time to warm the bench. Does that sound like a man who has the clubs best interest at heart or a power mad egomaniac?

He used Ruud in the first half of the season, Ruud should be happy that SAF gave him the oppertunity to play after asking to leave the club. We all know that SAF can be strict, but untill now, we haven't been bad haven't we?

The day United will have a difficult time is the day when SAF retires, he's the only one who knows the club well in and out, the youth players etc. I am happy that we have a manager like SAF, cause he is one of few whom actually give youngsters the oppertunity to become a first team player

Not once in my post did i say that. Yes players should respect the managers but the managers should also respect the players and i dont think SAF is doing that. He forgets that the players are the ones that keep him in a job and vice versa. He is not willing to bend at any rate to accommodate the disagreement it is all his way or the highway and i think this sometimes clouds his judgement with what is best for MUFC or what is best for SAF's ego. Read his autobiography and you will see what i mean, he has a long history of stubborness dating back to his playing days.

Also SAF still thinks he can scare his players in to winning by screaming and shouting at them. Granted it worked in the days of Scholes, Giggs, Beckham and the Nevilles cos they had grown up with the fear of the man that gave them their careers and wouldnt dare speak out of turn. These new generation of players wont put up with it. I mean if your boss started screaming and shouting at you would you just back down no you would stand up for yourself. Im not condoning what Ruud did maybe he did it to stand up for himself and SAF needs to respect that he did that but in the same vane point out that he is the manager and what he says goes not get all egotistical and sell the man. Gone are the days of bullying players into winning. The psychological approach employed by Messrs. Wenger and Mourinho seems to be the way of man managing these days.

I agree but sometimes i feel he takes it too far and before it is too late the player has gone. He is a great believer in the youth system and that is incredible for the game it is just his archaic man management that i dont agree with.

my god, STFU about poor ruud. sure the guy score a ton of goals, but there has to be a reason why he was dropped from both the MU team and the netherlands team toward the end of their respective campaigns. it does not bode well for ruuds form.

SAF has lost 2 players too a bust up and one of them wasnt even confirmed. stam talked **** in his autobiography. beckham was benched shortly after the boot got kicked to his head, he left OT cuz he spent more time farting around with his public image than playing football. Stam had to go, no if ands or buts about it. beckham didnt have the hunger anymore and MU made some good cash off of getting rid of a declining asset.

ruud got benched. he was playing crap, i would expect that. now he wants to leave cuz saha works better with rooney than RvN. good ridence if you ask me.

Saha, with Scholes moving into a supporting striker role. But i think Fergie plans on having Carrick do the defensive work, if we sign him. It would still be better than having O'Shea, Fletcher or Giggs do it.

smith could also be a supporting striker role...since fergie is moving him back upfront...or smith as the striker and rooney as the supporter...

Actually, when you think of it, if we sign a defensive mid and play him alongside Carrick, AND keep scholes in, we could have a central midfield very similar to your team in terms of the types of player. We might have to drop one winger, but we'll have one of the strongest central midfielders in Europe, look at the similarities:

--------Saha------------------
-------------------------------Rooney

-----------------Scholes/Kaka

---Ronaldo---------------
------------Mascherano/Gattuso------Carrick/Pirlo

--Heinze------Vidic----------Rio---------Neville
-------------------VDS

I wish everybody would stop trying to make SAF the villain and claiming Ruud is such a victim in all of this. Hes asked to leave the club 3 times, he got dropped for the league cup final because Saha had played throughout it all and deserved to be there. This was a justified decision because Saha scored in the final. Ruud then acted like a little kid and this affected his playing quality on the field, he was dropped because of these poor half assed peformances, and this was justified. Saha kept playing well, and Man Utd had a good second half of the season where Saha played great. Ruud then was dropped for the Charlton game because he mocked Ronaldo with reference to his late father in team training, yet SAF still protected Ruud and didn't directly reveal this, by just saying "He wanted the team together, and team spirit to be good."

Ruud goes on to act like a little kid to a greater extent, he goes to the world cup and gets dropped there for the same mediocrity on the field. He then comes back, SAF publicly says he still wants him at the club, even rejecting multiple bids for him. Ruud then asks for his transfer from the club with a written request, previously only asking for a transfer through his agent.

So hold on a minute, its Fergie pushing Ruud out of the club? Even if he was, I wouldn't care since it seems Ruud doesn't even try to peform for the club anymore. Goodbye Ruud, thanks for everything, he was once my favourite player, but his heart obviously wasn't in it for the club anymore, I hope he does well at Real when the transfer eventually happens.

excellent post mate totally agree with you, im sick of it always being Fergies fault whenever a player leaves the club. ruud was an excellent servant for us up until the turn of the year and since january his form all year has been poor.

my team for next year

subs:

on the bench for euro games.

with the addition of carrick we weill have a strong side, i would like to see one more midfielder coem in tho, and i would suggest the best thing would be to wait until janurary before deciding if we need a striker
