Appiah isn't going to be cheap, he is one of the best for his club and I can't Fenerbahce selling him on the cheap. And Fenerbahce is a very rich club so they can ask any price they want
We could threaten to unleash Rooney on them... again...

he's being linked to Roma if Im not mistaken. They are also close to the French Diarra who plays in France. Forgot his first name. Lassana? Or is that Chelsea's?

You mean Alou Diarra of Lens? The giant that plays for France?

Other news: Luca Toni has got offers from English clubs

yeah, Alou Diarra. Roma tend to always get the best on the "mini" market. Players many teams chase but end up being rather average. Something like Spurs I might say.

Players like Alou and Appiah would in fact be perfect for Man Utd.

Whilst refusing to elaborate on individual targets, Ferguson admitted he expected the situation to become clearer in the coming days.

"We are looking at some other players at this moment in time and I think something will happen next week," said Ferguson.

"There is interest in Senna but there is interest in other players as well."

Sounds promising

And you call yourself a Man Utd fan?!?!

THREE FUC'KING MILLION is a decent amount for a top class midfielder who will bring bags of experience to the club and settle down our midfield.

If you can't see the idea of spending £3mill to have a better chance of winning the league and would rather we came second then what the f'uck is wrong with you? are you seriously a retard?

as someone else mentioned, Senna is seen as an experienced stop-gap whilst we wait for the likes of David Jones and Gibson etc. to develop enough.

haha u honestly think senna is going to get us a better chance of the tittle.
Three million for a player that is only going to play for max 3 years,,thats is a million a year for a player who is going to sit on the bench quiet a lot and the rumours of the size of his wages. How am i not a united supporter. We are not buying top class or even very good players,,we are buying scraps,,simple as that and i want the best for the club and try save as much money as possible because of the glazers finical situataion,,yes i agree that carrick was a good signing but again im sure he wasnt near the top of SAF list,we used to say jump and the player use to say how high,we can still do that if we save out god dam money

So what if he's not a starter for Spain, Saha isn't a starter for France, but yet good enough for us. The same goes for Carrick. Just because he isn't a starter for Spain doesn't mean he isn't good enough, Senna is good. IMO this is a good move, we need someone with experience who can bring in the difference when needed. And 3m is nothing for the type of player we are getting.

well i dont rate the player at all,i hope he proves me wrong,,but what i meant was,,by him not playing for spain is we are all was accepting 2nd and it isnt good enough why go and buy him,,i dont care what people say about john o'shea he has all was done a good job for us,,and i hear that if senna comes this will give time for the younger players to grow,,i dont see how that is possible as senna im sure will spend a lot of time on the bench

oooo and just heard a rumour that the glazers will sell off the bucks if they dont do well in the super bowl this year,,but i doubt it very much

Relax dubcrazy, Senna is alright, he was really good in the CL last year. No need to worry, it's not like we're after some mediocre goalie from a championship side

Senna gives us one thing in the centre of midfield we currently are seriously lacking; experience. And yes he will increase our chances of winning the league, not only through his experience but his ball winning abilities and the fact he's a damn good player. If you don't rate him then fair enough, but it's obvious that SAF does and i think i'm gonna go with SAF on this one. The wages rumour was bollocks, it was more likely to be 65k Euros which is £44k which seems acceptable for an international midfielder.

Senna's age doesn't make him a bad signing at all - we signed Teddy Sheringham when he was 30-31 for £3.5mill, does that make HIM a bad signing?

What i was saying about you not being a true Man Utd fan was that you basically said you'd rather we saved £3mill and come second in the league. £3mill is nothing in the world of football these days and even with our huge debts we have the budget to spend £3mill on a top class midfielder.

How the hell would you know where Carrick was on SAF's list? My bet is that he was at the top as an English hardworking reliable midfielder who gives us a lot of options.

We don't have the huge power we used to have in the transfer market that we used to, but just because we're not signing the huge names that everyone wants doesn't mean we're not signing top class players.

Kuszack (sp?) was good for West Brom considering they got relegated and considering we don't overpay (which it looks likely we'd have to) he'd be a good signing as a backup keeper for a couple of seasons to VDS.

Well, the latest news is that our £2.5m bid got rejected. Everything over that would be 'overpaying'. I wouldn't say that Kuszczak is any better than Foster, you could say experience but I don't think that's a good enough reason to pay £3m for a keeper like Kuszczak, Kuszczak isn't THAT experienced. I rather see us going for another midfielder or maybe a striker.

Kuszczak has EPL experience which is a huge advantage for a backup keeper. And next season would be much better spent for Foster on loan at Watford playing regularly.

i know i was talking a lot of bull :sb9: earlier but i dont rate senna and i cant see us winning the league just like sir charlton and did u see the smile on SAF face at the press conference,i looked like he knew something we didnt,,and i dont understand how we are lacking experience we have Paul scholes but yes we do need a player who can win the ball but then is carrick going to sit on the bench

Why? We could always play something like this :p
-----Senna---Carrick-----
Ronaldo---Scholes---Rooney

(yes I know making up line-ups is stupid, lol)
