Yeah I saw it, he got some skills up his sleeve, it is just amazing how he makes his passing look simple, Fletcher's passing has been quite good today, he is distributing the ball all over the place

has anyone got a video of carrick's skills?

im intrigued

Ur mob hit long balls:jambo: , so im not quite sure why your laughing

So do yours mate and THAT is a fact. Then again so does every team on the planet. If you think Chelsea are a long ball team then you know fu<k all about Chelsea you idiot. Although what long balls have to do with this is beyond me.

ah finally we return to CL. 4-5-1 anyone?

Oh God, please no!!

Can we just for once, play our strongest team in it's strongest shape and turn in a decent performance and get a couple of away goals? Please :$

I'm still reeling from SAF giving his son (Fletcher) another 90 minutes when he was clearly useless once again. Also why the hell did he decide to strip the entire spine out of the team? No Rio, Scholesy or Nev!

Lille is just the kind of game that seems to catch us out, we have the quality to get past them convincingly, yet somehow it's always by the skin of the teeth - I'm not discounting Lille, but United should be too strong for them.

Here's hoping!

Let's not get overly critical here. We have an FA Cup game, CL game and EPL game all in 7 days. During one of those games players had to be rested and i would rather it be FA Cup than anything else. Fergie took full strength team to Lille, so don't worry about the first 11 there. And to be honest the stand-in players did more than just enough to win that game, all it was is luck turning away from us during those 90 minutes. On any other day the score would have been 3-0 easily. If the stand-in players played badly then we could argue, but they played really well, the problem was linesman and finishing.

Maybe I am being overly critical. But I have seen Fletcher play many games for United and in few - actually looking United quality. On most occasions he is found wanting, he has a good engine and workrate is okay but I just don't think he has the required quality/skill to be an adequate backup midfielder. Certainly he looks even more out of place on the right wing.

MUTV were hyping him as the next Steven Gerrard - I know he's had severe injuries in the past that may have prevented him from playing to his potential, but I feel he just can't cut it in a United shirt. Certainly he'll never be anywhere near as good as the hype when he broke through.

Would he make the bench for Arsenal, Chelsea, Barca or Madrid? No - so why is he deemed adequate for United? In my opinion these are the questions that need to be asked if we are to be brutally honest.

I dont mind the occassional 4-5-1 or the 4-4-1-1 tactics. It will work against the right team and having the right mentality and discipline to execute the game plan.Look how Milan came to OT with a 4-3-2-1 formation and won handsomely although with only a goal.

dude dont even compare us with milan... italian teams are tactically driven... they can play any formation and execute it pretty well.

We on the other hand look good only with 4-4-2. i have yet to see us play 4-5-1 without struggling and scraping.
