That's so true, about Matuidi being one of the best players in PSG. A hardworking midfielder who also happens to be French.

Well he's quality and even if they do get Pogba, the more depth the better i think. Although i wouldn't consider Matuidi as some sort of a player who'd be a benchwarmer.

Verratti, Motta/Matuidi, Pogba, Cabaye and Raviot for 3 spots. Raviot on loan and keeping Motta and Matuidi is another chance.

EDIT: In Blanc's game model Cuadrado and Laporte (Jallet and Maxwell out) would be great acquisitions too, but they don't need to make so many changes yet.

Cuadrado as a right back? I thought that van der Wiel has really picked up his game in the last two years. He was quite awful during the last EUROs. But yeah i think PSG should be considered as a force to be reckon with in the CL this year.

Good thing is that all them 3 can play different roles. But Pogba the beast must be unleash, would be sacrilege to chain him as anchor like Yaya Touré at Barça.

I love the midfield 3 as they are (Matuidi-Thiago Motta-Verratti) ... I'd have preferred Miki Pjanić instead of Cabaye as a rotation option, in anticipation of Pogba easing Thiago Motta out of first-choice XI for next season ...

he'd also have fit in much faster with the Italian-speaking starters (the overwhelming majority) ... unfortunately, Roma quoted a crazy figure for him, so that was that ...

Cabaye is a very good player in his own right, no doubt, and he too is also Champions League eligible, so I'll reserve further comment till I see him play for PSG ...

I'm a huge Verratti fan, but Cabaye is coming for his spot and he'll probably take it. Verratti shows more promise, but Cabaye is better right now.

I disagree, since I believe Verratti is second to none when it comes to vision and passing range ... but yes, the starting spot is a big concern of mine, hence my preference for Pjanić, who I would be happy to see in, and who would be happier to be in, rotation ...
