Anyway, I think we need to have a bit of patience with the chants and songs and stuff. It'll come eventually. We've only had 4 home games so far and a lot of the guys in the supporters groups still don't know all the chants.

We'll get there. We're getting organized. For any of you who want chants if you're going to the game, go to www.redpatchboys.ca and you can download a songsheet.

We got Cunningham apparently and we are flipping him to LA. (That's what I heard on the RPB board)

Anyway, this could definitely pave the way for a new striker or DP type.

Radz would be great, since he can play AMF and get some service in to our forwards, or play paired with Dichio and bag a few himself.

Anyway, this might be the first trade story that was broken by Facebook :D

At least we got a proven goal scorer, something which we have lacked up until now.

is in shock.... just found out i got traded from TFC to Real Salt Lake.... definitely did NOT ask for this so im pretty devastated right now.

I really wish Esky didnt get shipped, hes put in more effort than any other player. Cunningham looks pretty decent from the videos ive seen, I wish we couldve traded Dichio or Buddle for him though.

Why is Johnston trying to tinker with offence, when our midfield is atrocious?

WHat? I think that's a little rediculous... they should have gotten rid of Buddle, the guy sucks. Eskandarian was one of our hardest working players... And I'm not too familiar with the MLS yet but, you can just trade players like that? There's no actual transfers? How exactly does it work?

We just traded an unproven, injury-prone player for one of the top goal-scorers in the league. Cunningham scored more goals last year than Esky has in his career. The midfield isn't atrocious, but it does need more depth. You can't just bring in anyone, and I read that Cunnignham was having problems with his new manager, since they didn't get along well as teammates either. In this case, Mo got a good player who will help the team. I wouldn't be surprised to see him tinker some more and bring in some MF help.

Cunningham will bring the offence. We did need to tinker with the offence, since we did not have a bona fide goalscorer on the team. Also, Cunningham had 11 assist last year with Real Salt Lake! So you know he can set guys up too.

I'll miss Esky's hard work and his passion, but I will welcome Cunny's skill and goals.

Doesn't look like it for now. Radz is still looking to stay in Europe from what I've heard, and I think we are going to keep Cunningham. Anyway, give Cunningham some time. He's a proven MLS commodity who will do a good job in Toronto paired with Dichio.

I believe in MLS there is a deadline for when the rosters have to be set. But you make trades as you need to be under the salary cap. You can trade for money, but it is not a "transfer" per se.

Well I wouldnt say Esky is unproven, as he won the MLS Cup with DC, and was named player of the game with 2 goals. He's also only 24, whereas Cunningham is almost 31... although age isn't as big a factor in this league.

I think you misunderstood my take on this trade though, Im very excited to see this guy play and think he will be a great addition... I just wish Esky didnt have to be sacrificed, but oh well. From the videos ive seen on Youtube im excited, and stats dont lie.

Here's a quote from Cunningham before he got traded to RSL last year, he had this to say:

Haha he's obviously never been to Toronto! If he wants to see some of the whitest people in the country he should come to my town for a while!
