NOW, can we fire April Heinrichs?

I wish I'd written this before the Cup started. From the day she got hired I felt that it was a politically correct move rather than the right move ("Marta, get me the OxyContin! Hurry! I'm about to make an ass of myself, again!").

Her record as Team USA coach is unexceptional considering she is coaching the most experienced, strongest, deepest women's team on the planet with a feeder system other nation's would die for.

Her reliance on LOTS of players in their 30s tells me that she is clueless on how to build a championship squad, and is relying on the stars of yesterday to pull them through today.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, fire her NOW!

But, players like Lilly and even Hamm were dissapointing. Why did Heinrich drag along Shannon Mcmillan? Lorrie Fair should of been their. Its just ashame it ended this way.

I'm shocked... the US got whipped in the end, 3-0... IMO they had a chance after the 1 goal, but Heinrech didn't make the subs that could had made a difference, such as bringing on MacMillan or Parlow (or did she play but I just can't remember??) IMO its really crappy how the US went out, and its even weirder that it happened 2 Germany just like last year and how similar things occured

Considering that the German keeper was pulling down everything in the air, I would've thought that the U.S. braintrust could've come up with something other than crossing passes.

Oh, well. I've been saving my money for Germany 2006 since the final whistle in Japan. Time to start making my reservations.
