Yeah, if we can't beat Angola without Deco... We can't think about getting far in the cup. Maybe Scolari could play Nuno Gomes instead of Deco.. ehem.. guess he won't :(

I'm already picturing it... Singing the hymn.... This is gonna be 3 or 4-0... At half-time 0-0... We star to get nervous... 75 min still 0-0... Then Angola makes some crazy play and we star losing 1-0.... Ronaldo gets a Red Card.... Then Costinha.... With some luck we get a free kick that Figo takes and scores... The papers say we were lucky and it could've been worse... Scolari trashes the lockeroom and say in the press conference that it was the medias fault cause they were always criticising... Scolari changes the team drasticly... We go trought to the next phase.... And the next one... And the next one.... We get to the Final... We face.. Angola... We loose... Scolari is murdered by an angry mob....

Ok maybe this last part.... Is a tiny little bit farfetched... :)

Latest reports say that Deco is Ok. I really hope he plays against Angola. And Deco has been playing like **** in the friendlies because he was tired, had a very long season and is prolly going easy on those games. I think we will see him back at his old self when the real games begin. A win against Angola is crucial. I just hope the boys get the job done. Vamos a eles! Força Portugal!!!

I wish I could be more confident, too many disapointments with this team in the past. Let's just hope Ronaldo can keep his head straight and not try to be a one man team. We should have a lot of support in the stadiums, so let's win this f*ckin' thing! :rockman:

I'm all ready for tomorrow. I've got the beer lined up (Super Bock and Sagres, so people won't bitch about it), the HDTV hooked up, and most importantly, the red and green flying outside my house. Unlike last time, lets hope that we aren't 3:0 down after the first half hour of play. However, its the World Cup, and everybody raises their game on the global stage, so we have to raise ours to be sure of victory. What I'm saying is this: nothing is guaranteed. Even though its Angola we are playing, we have to give the same 100% effort that we would give against Brazil or England. Now that I've said my piece, there's one thing left to say:

FORÇA PORTUGAL!

I was pretty surprised, my thoughts were the same as Massive's. Why on earth do we need 2 pure DMs against Angola ?? At least Maniche is a little more offensive..

Anyway, professionalism from our players is what we need to see tomorrow.

well, look at how crap our keeper is, Meira makes me nervous too, so the more protection we have the better. Two DM's is fine IMO.

I honestly don't know what to expect from us this time, Angola and Iran are exactly the type of teams that we f*ck up against :( Our recently performances in friendlies haven't exactly been confidence building either. :(
