Hopefully Mourinho will coach the NT by the next WC. He should just pull a Hiddink and coach both Chelsea and the NT.

he basically put together the players that had been under Mourinho's guidance at Porto, it's not like he had to start from ground zero.

I want Mourinho too. I'm sure he'd do a great job. However with him being at Chelsea, dunno if he's gonna accept a possible offer.

Hell I wouldn't mind him having both jobs. He does sh*t all in the afternoons as shown in the interviews with him.

didn't Mourinho say some time ago that he would only coach us in like 10 years?
he wanted to remain with Chelsea until the contract is over, then move to Italy.....


I really liked the way our team played under Humberto's lead, but he just doesn't seem to be a very bright person, I mean I crack myself up with his comments during a football match (on TV).


why not Nelo Vingada? :brow:

2010 is pretty far away so I'm crossing my fingers that Mourinho becomes our coach, at least after the Euro 08.

Well how the hell will he pull off that miracle??? I have no doubt that we would win a Championship with Mourinho. Unfortunately for now it's just a dream....

no thanks, I want us to contend for something other than reaching the QFs of every competition. Eriksson is a terrible NT coach as shown in England.

Yeah i saw it but i didn´t think it was serious. Nelo Vingada has always saved Académica and is a competent coach but i don´t think that he is NT material. Before Nelo Vingada i would prefer to see Manuel Machado or Jesualdo Ferreira have a chance and even them i don´t consider NT material. A matter of opinion i guess.

Mourinho coaching Chelsea and Portugal at the same time... unlikely, but possible.

Scolari as a man manager is world-class. Better than him, only José Mourinho.

Sven-Goran Eriksson would be a nice choice aswell.

I like Vingada, he's worked with the our NTs before, has a good posture, and not a bad coach at all.

Machado and Jesualdo are good coaches too (my pick would go for Machado btw) but I agree that they still have a lot to prove.


btw in case anyone was wondering, me mentioning Luis Campas was a joke. a bad one, but it was :p

I just read on soccernet that Scolari still hasn't decided his future. He may still be coaching us into the next Euro. I really hope he stays.

my thoughts exacty... I'd also like to see a coach who is actually aware of what's going on in the Portuguese league, and calls players there that deserve the chance.

I´ve been thinking seriously about our new coach if Scolari leaves. It should really be Manuel José, i´m looking forward to hearing him argue with Ricardo. The glass will shatter and i mean it in a literal way.
