In my opinion it ruins the game bigtime in online play.
The pressure 1 button where the highlighted player automatically follows the ball.

Why it ruins the game?
Because there is no skill involved in holding the X all the time. When you try to dummy someone who is holding x the player will stick to ur arse, either he will take the ball away or it is a foul.
What skill is that? I think you should defend yourself and learn the art of good defending.
And what i noticed is when you play a opponent who is holding X and [] all the time the game turns into a choas and becomes unbalanced. His players are faster to the ball, my players make more mistakes, wrong passes, slow reactions etc. It becomes a noob games, with only long ground passes from defence too strikers and through passes on good luck.

But when both players dont use the X button the game is beautifull.
I really think Konami should leave out the pressure 1 in the next pes, because really whats the use of it, instead of it being really annoying and noobish.

Jea true ... but i think only holding the [ ] is ruing it. Holding the X button is the same for a while now. But i also play defence with a lot of holding both of the buttons, they just have to change the refs so that u can have some nice fights for the ball

I agree especially when noobs online take Brazil and play counterattack that way u have 9 players behind ball when u defend and its too easy with the rushing button. Konami fix it!

I like it cause it gives chance for underdogs to make better opponent nervous and beat better player in game...like in real soccer match... :hump:

i dont agree, its a too powerfull tool imo
I tried tho play this way a few games. I choose brazil and had positioned 4 strikers up front. I was playing against a very good player, i could see that from the beginning.
All i did was holding X + [] all the time when defending and when i had possesion in midfield i hit throughball to one of my strikers. I never had so many 1on1 at the goaly.
I won him 3 times in a row, but i didnt like it, it felt like the cpu helped me too much and after the match he was frustrated he said something in german about the amount of fouls i made, i coulnt understand properly though.
But the thing is i could beat a player who was playing better than me with lame tactics. The game became unbalanced, unrealistic and very much in favor of me. Its like when playing 5* cpu, but now the person holding X + [] becomes the cpu..
Pes shouldnt be this way. Good players should be rewarded for knowing and learning the game.

he could play with 5 man in defense with wingbacks defending full...maybe even some marking...he also could play counter attacking...he also could play holding X and [] all the time...

also offside trap is very powerful tool if you know how and when to use it but I think 1 % of players use it...


so sometimes we have great visually matches, sometimes only 0-0 with dozens of fouls...thats tha beauty in this game...at least for me

but I understand you although I disagree you :)

When i meet players like u i score the goal and then play it around defence untill time is up. I really hate people coming online to get a 0-0 wtf is the point in that?

I never said that I play that way...its not my style...I also like fluid games


but I like it as a feature of this game...if you are playing some tournament or something against better opponent...
