1 question - isn't that a galactico policy aswell... ?

Most importantly the following positions need to be covered for RM imo
1: a topclass DM
2: a decent CB to partner Ramos - Woody is to injuryprone, Mejia, Bravo are good back ups.

About the mentioned players:

Chivu - don't really know him, or what position he plays.

A.Cole is not actually needed - Carlos & Bravo can do well enough

Robben is a overrated diving moaning tw*t (Mourinho school)

Diarra would be a good sining. Same goes for Alonso & the other Garcia from what I've seen.

Rooney is the best All Around Footballer ATM and before you rip me appart (Ronaldinho is way more skilled technicaly, but does he run back and tackles to defend for example)

But honestly that all sounds so 0815 to sell papers (I've seen that plenty of times befote) & not to forget - it's the spanish "sensationalising" press, which is as bad as the english one.

Of corse everbody buys the paper then cuz everbody likes to be the manager - deciding who to buy and who to sell. Everbody likes doing that at least for himself if not in a FM or Managergame world.

I remain highly pesimistic about such reports.

but IF Rooney and Becks would be United not only for England - would be nice indeed

That 4-3-3 makes no sense...it makes no senes to have a team where Beckham and Ronaldo play togeather. Martin should really think about how he wants us to play and which players can do that for us. We need to atcually think about which playres to get before we just buy whoever is out there. There is no centeral midfielders in that tactic, only Diarra as DM.

Chivu is like another Woody, always injured. Why would Robben or Rooney come? Come on now lets be realistic. Maybe Rooney might come but that would coast way too much money. ( Rooney for Ronaldo change and some money? I would jump on that ). BB Cole is needed as Carlos should be another person that leaves after this season ends. As for Diarra yes, get him.

Beck's recovery is going very well and tomorrow he will be back training with the rest of the team. :rockman:

oh, and in yesterday's training session Raúl scored 6 goals!

and then he worked alone for 20 minutes more then the rest of the team.
he wants to start on saturday, but i hope Caro plays with exactly same team that thumped Deportivo.

What is it with Adriano?? After seeing quite a bit of him, to me he is like Ronaldo but worse ( A poor mans Ronaldo I guess you can say )...yea no thanks. There are better options.

Lets focus on the rest of our games rather than on the lineup for next season. We need to secure that second place.

If only that were true...Depor were utter **** vs us, I highly doubt that Barca will play like them. Sure if they just backoff and let us do what we want we will look good as we did vs Depor but this is Barca not Depor. They play a lot better than Depor. Also Bravo

Why not Mejia for Bravo? Also I read that Pablito Garcia is 100% healthy again and could be in Caro's list, hopefully 'cause I miss him.

-Becks is God, 5 signings?!?!!! I think Madrid signs 3 very good players, a DM/CM...CB...CAM. Yeah, we should be cool w/ that.

i really dont know who could replace Zidane.

1. That lineup would cost probably 80 million euros to acomplish, and you'd be benching useful players like Cassano
2. Put Guti in the hole behind the strikers. Is he offensively incapable or something? The guy used to play like a damn forward.
3. Barring that, you guys should buy Reyes to get that left sided width, and allow Robinho to play centrally.

I think Roberto Carlos can play another year, he isnt so fast like in the past, but he doesnt look very old, he w¡ll be 33 yo next season. Cafu is 35, Thuram 32-33 too

I would sign this player:

- A very good CB, dont care to spend 15-20 millions.
- Diarra
- Adriano if Ronaldo leaves
- A Offensive Midfielder like Kaka, even Ballack could be OK.
- Then i would like to have Reyes and Cesc cause they are spaniards and young, but they look quite imposible to get now.

Kick:

- Cassano to get some money from italian clubs. Inter?
- Ronaldo, if we get Adriano
- Salgado
- Helguera
- Gravesen
- Zidane

after the 3rd year MAdrid signed Beckham and sold Makalele and got rid of Del Bosque...
they started to tour asia, and suck balls...

it hasnt been since QUIROZ that Madrid have won in Barca...
funny because, I always said Queroz did a good job...

Some people dont want to play Guti all the time because he is inconsistant which is true but that may be in part because he has played like that 5 different position for us, his actual position is AMC so yea he could do it or as you said Robinho too.

Crus...why Adriano?

Will...Its spelled Queiroz and I dont disagree with Figo, I agree and so does everyone else but the way he came out with it sounded a bit bitter to me.

to be fair under Quieroz Madrid was fine for most of that season.

He's a a lame tactican, talks shyte but with what he was given - he did a good job then (not now) - just the mistakes done by the board/perez did cost the club in the final stage of the season.

IMO the Squad was to thin, becasue the player cracked in the last games of the season.

- selling Makelele (talked to death) but there was only Cambiasso/Helguera as DM, Helguera had to play CB, because there weren't any good CBs. no replacement was brought in.

- Morientes loaned out and allowed to play vs Madrid

- not sining Milito (appearently because of an injury)

Copa Del Rey: Final - leading 1-0 from a Becks freekick - a certain Milito was MoM + Casillas did not play in Cup Matches... (Why?) :rolleyes:

Lost 3-2

Primera Division: I think March/April 8-9 points ahead of everybody in LaLiga, then sucsessive defeats and in each of the last 5 games I think 1 red card for a "galactico" followed. the players cracked.

Champions League: Quarter Finals eliminated on Away Goals (5-5) vs Monaco Morientes literally kicking Madrid out of the competition.

In a way Figo is right "Image was and stil is more important than the sport" at the club atm.

Of corse Becks was bought to give them an astronomical cash boost, but no matter what most say - the football player Beckham is not bad - it's the "offthepitchversion".

But the Team played fluent football, scored lots of goals, it just had no good "back bone" CBs/DM or players to rotate the squad enough.

i have Bad news. Guti injured his left foot in today's training session. :nape:

this makes him a SERIOUS doubt for El Clásico.

Lopéz Caro is set to repeat the team that won over Deportivo. but if Guti can't play, he will probably put Gravesen next to Baptista. :kader:

im telling you.. i rather see a 70% Pablo García then Gravesen against Barca.
so i hope Caro plays García.

The good news is that Becks finished training today without problems.
