i would be sad if Ronie leaves this summer.
but to be honest. in some matches he looks so unmotivated and barely do anything right. but this all happened after he got injured in the Madrid derby. before that he was on fire! 9 goals in 8 matches i think.

still i can't understand those fans who jeer him. after all he has done for Real Madrid.

hopefully he makes a Great CL 05/06 debut tomorrow and silence's the jeering!

It’s unfortunate that Ronaldo has said these comments on the eve of the CL match, I think its more than coincidence that he spills this out now, rather later. The timing is ideal; his statements have already flooded the football websites. IMO this was a huge step to let his future suitors know that he is willing leave Real. He has taken an initial step out the door. Don’t know what the fan reaction will be for Ronnie tomorrow, but I have a feeling it won’t be a positive one, I just hope it does not become such a distraction that it will cost us the match.

Have you guys read the article on Marca?? He says he cant understand why the fans jeer at him....does he watch tapes of the games?? In the Alaves game for the first 25 mins he did not even touch the ball. He did not even make any effort to get free, the midfileder has the ball and looks up to see where Ronaldo is and he is in the same spot at before. When he got subbed out he was jeered ( and he deserved it ). Now before anyone says that I am a Ronaldo hater, i have given him praise when he desrves it ( like vs Zaragoza ) but 1 match is not good enough. Also Datboy before his injury I can only remember one match were he was really trying and playing hard ( the Madrd derby ). Also we have a different style of playing now, its that everyone moves and gets in the play, something Ronaldo has trouble with because of his lazyness. If you guys saw the Alaves game even though Baptista did not score he was trying really hard ( as usual ) and the fans liked that. They did not jeer at Baptista because unlike Ronaldo he looked really focoused and working to make something happen ( and he almost got it with that insane overhead kick ). If he got sold i would not be dissapointed. I hope he has a great WC so that his price is skyhigh if he leaves.

But to the people that want Ronaldo to stay. I read somewhere a while ago that Perez said as long as he is president that Ronaldo will not be sold. Maybe the pressure of the fans are getting to Perez though and he will sell him this summer. Now if only Caro would put Ronaldo on the bench. Maybe the bench would be good for him, it might change him.....or maybe not.

Also for me Ronaldo is a weird guy. If he put in 100% in every game and was in top shape ( I know he is not fat but he is not in the greatest shape either ) I could see him getting 35, 40, or more goals a season instead he settels for 20-25 goals a season. It just does not make sense, I dont see why he is like that. He has all the skills needed but he still does not do it.

One more thing, why is he saying this now?? 1 day before a big CL game, **** it couldnt have waited a couple of days. He should be more focoused on the game at hand instead of looking at which EPL team to move to The last part of that article, they ask him what do you think the fans will think and he says I DONT CARE...please leave.

A hattrick vs Arsenal will not make everything better..hattrick vs them than back to the usual Ronaldo? Saying this before a CL game is so stupid.

The fans are right in who should come and go. In this case Ronaldo should go.

Its been three years of this and its too much now. If he cant adjust himself to how he should be playing than thats his fault. Its not just about getting goals. We want to see the attitude that is needed and if Ronaldo cant do that than head for the door.

its not just about abuse at him from the stands. Professional athletes usually dont feel the fans "owe" them something, especially in an age of multimillion pound transfer fees, etc.

It was a stupid thing to say, he is a professional and playing for Madrid he should know that the expectations are very high. He knew this the day he singed for us. He came out with the article at the wrong time too. Yes i know our fans are unfair at times but this time it is well deserved.

BTW if he leaves, i would love for us to somehow sign David Villa.

Nuno - I agree, Baptista is starting to show what he is worth ( took him long enough ). He just needs some luck and more confidence.

How many players before him got a lot of criticism and instead of doing what Ronaldo did they acted like they should and improved their game to show what they are worth.
