i hope it is. that article also said that he's ready to wait until January to play. which is his only option if he wants to be in Racing.

we gotta get Marcelo from Fluminense in January. i watched him yesterday, as he played LB against Wales. great technique and alot of power in his shots. he reminds me of RC in his glory days!

he would be a great compliment for Roberto.

Yeh i was just thinking that hes only 18 as well.

well we have to beat some competition from as roma and other clubs intrested in him, any way i would still prefer that mexican guy.

(H) ah c'on man, that's mean. Again, it would be nice if Madrid actually valued the talent of the mexican guy (José Andrés Guardado...Hernández). I think it was something like 250,000 dollars that we offered for him, (y luega para matarla) they wanted him to play at Castilla. :S

I actually wouldn't mind him playing 1 year at Castilla, but the amount that we offered... :chew:

The kid is very good from what i have seen.If he come he could play in Castilla 1 year but not forever cuz he has the potencial to play in the first team.

You know before now that really never hurt RC or us too much ;) Come now in his prime he was the best LB in the world. Dont know much of the other kid but we need to starting looking for a permanent LB to replace RC.

We want a team that plays beautiful football. Sorry, we're not into krappy Italian catenaccio or anything like that. We have a history and pedigree to live up to. That's the way it is. It is possible to win without sh!tbag Italian style. Distefano & Co. proved it time and time again. Lets not throw in the towel guys. There are other paths. Lets not wimper and regress Robinho as a starter!

You killed any chance of playing beautiful soccer when you hired Capello.

And your "history and pedigree" is more of a "win at all costs" philosophy. Beautiful soccer has historically been Barcelona's priority. That's not antimadridismo, that's just the way things are.

Very right sir, historically speaking its the Barca fans that usually go over the top about the play while we have been more about winning at all costs as you said.

With Capello IF ( its abig if ) he wins a title this season I dont see people saying much but after a while people will get very tired of Capello and his way of playing. Yes we also killed the chance to play nice when we got him.

I wonder though, assuming Capello wins a title here and there with his super boring football, after a few seasons, what will the Madridistas feel?

Is Capello gonna get sacked for playing bad football or is he gonna just stay and play boring? If he gets sacked then I think a new post-Del Bosque era will happen again.

guardado is an amazing player; he is above castilla ; if he eventually would come to madrid it should be in the A team; plus he is worth more than what madrid were offering ; its was a ****ty deal to be honest; but i must say this too; if he would come to madrid he would certainly not be to replace roberto or as a LB at that matter; i have seen him play day in and day out in guadalajara; and tought his natural position is a LB his best playing position is a more of a left midfield role; he even likes to play alot forward as an attaking midfielder ; and this is were he does much damage.

Remeber though Al, that Atlas plays more like a 3 5 2 with 2 Wingers.....

Guardado is so good he basically plays from touchline to touchline on the left side.

I have seen a couple of Atlas matches this year (for some reason, I have Televisa here in Venezuela) and he has done a great job.

I could see him playing RCs role perfectly as he has the speed to get back and enough sense to cover, plus a cracker of a shot (see his 2 goals against America) and he got great football sense all over the field.

I really hope he doesn't sign with Madrid (H)
