deadly? absolutely.. especially with Raul Bravo in the squad :D

Sad thing is he was playing better than Carlos...LB should be top of the list of things to fix next season.

Beckham in the center? No thanks, Guti please.

Yeah really R.Bravo and Robinho really work well on the left wing in the last match.

theres a difference between the DM's we had then, and the ones we have now :).
damn, if you think about it, what a huge mistake it was letting Makelele go. biggest transfer stupidity ever :).
nah not really, not buying a replacement was our downfall. Makelele was getting old and wanted more money, so he went to a club that appreciated him. Even though we waited a few years, I think Diarra will hold down the middle for many years to come. :jambo:

Ha, I actually prefer bravo at this point, crazy as that sounds. He's decent pushing forward and has good pace. He cant pass for $hit and is mistake prone, but he's improved a lot over the past two seasons

Not really, his ball crosses are usually more accurate than Carlos'.

1st of all thanks for posting the English torrents! much appreciated. its the 1st one i've watched. i loved that 2nd commentator. "It looks like Robinho is finally coming on, thank the Lord!" LoL. He seemed like he was a Real Madrid fan that was given a microphone at some stages during the match.

1st question, will Raul's form (/fininshing/skill/whatever it is) return once he gets a goal or 2 two? He gives 110% and is a bit unlucky (e.g. the 2 headers he sent wide vs Soceidad). is he going through a bad patch or is he actually past the point of no return?

Where did Diarra play at Lyon? i dont know their formation but did he play as lone DM or was he paired with another DM or a CM? might be useful but only if he's the only DM. not 2! and it seemed when Robinho came on during Sociedad match that Guti went to DM and Diarra to CM. he seemed to be attacking far more than Guti for a while there, but then they swapped after the Reyes goal.

Cichinho had a great game, hopefully he did enough to convince Capello to start him.

Reyes, what a player. Can you tell he loves Real Madrid?

P.S. does anyone else find it Ironic that Reyes scored from a free kick and Becks scored from a breakaway? anyone? anyone at all?

ok and the commentator asked the question, where does Cassano fit in to the squad?
(while Guti, Reyes, Robino, Raul + RvN were on) but what i want to know is where does Ronaldo fit in? Cassano, Raul or Guti or Ronaldo or Ruud. who be benched?
(i know most of u will say Raul but i think he will start most games.)

anyone else wish we played a 4-1-4-1 again? or the Diamond midfield? i kinda do.

Ronaldo fits in the team BECAUSE we will surely change our playing style. We will play 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 or something like that. He is gonna play RvN and Ronaldo together. Capello said it 100 times. And if everything goes fine with Ronaldo then we are gonna have one deadly attack. :rockman: :rockman:

Robinho and Reyes as wingerS! Absolutely crushing!!!! :rockman: :rockman:

Cant wait to see this team do good again. Hopefully capello has seen that 2 DMs doesnt help. And he also has to see that Robinho REALLY has an impact on this team, you could have seen it more then once since he came. The guy really connects with the fans and players. You always see him waving his hands to get the fans on their feets, to let them cheer the team even more. This guy is important and Capello might have finally seen it !! (I hope)!!!

When Ronaldo is fully fit, this is the formation we might play.

................................Casillas...........................

Cicinho..........Cannavaro.......Ramos.........R. Carlos

.......................Diarra............Guti.....................

Reyes...................................................Robinho

..................V. Nistelrooy......Ronaldo..................

Guti and Ronaldo need to play together, he always knows were to put the ball for Ronaldo to run into.

ive said this a lot lol, he played as a typical 5, he was a machine, but from what i seem of him in real madrid its like he plays like he feels emerson is in his way. he could marshall that midfield all by himself and be efective, but i don't think cap will go for that.

if i was cap i would pair him with guti.

Id love to see the diamond formation again the system we used when we beat Barca 4-2.

-------------Casillas---------------
------S.Ramos----Cannavaro-------
Cicinho---------------------R.Carlos
-------------Diarra-----------------
---Reyes--------------Robinho------
--------------Guti------------------
-----V.Nistelrooy---Ronaldo---------

You'd get eaten alive down the flanks.....basically Ramos, Cannavaro and Diarra defending? Robinho and Reyes are in no way shape or form going to be able to support Diarra.

Remember in Lyon, Diarra had Juninho, who is a good two way MF with offensive talent and Tiago who is another decent 2-way player.

You need to have someone there who can track back. Diarra is a beast, but not all by himself. I mean even Barca uses 1 DM with Deco and Xavi both being very good at tracking back and helping out.

You guys should know of all people what happens when you put a bunch of offense only players on the pitch together. Look at what has happened in the past few seasons.

Whoa, I really liked the latest pics of Ronaldos training. If he was on the edge of overweight during world cup, he seems to have found motivation now to return for his younger days with experience he didn't have back then.

If all works out, Reals forward duo will be quite likely very deadly. Ruud seems to be doing very well as well, another player who got shot down with critique after WC.
