They are all 512 x 256 in size and usually 129 kb in file size, right?
but what are the horizontal and vertical resolution like 71 dpi or 96 dpi? whats the difference between 71 and 96 dpi?

and also after i made a bmp using PhotoShop, its depth is 24 bits and using Graphic Studio 05.01.01 to reduce to 8 bits. the color becomes not good. any methods to keep the original color ? is it a must to make it 8 bits depth to put it in KitServer???

thanks!

i m making a fantasy kit myself, keep trying. :)

the quality of the bmp becomes worse when i click "Decrease to 8 bit(256 colors)". but i see other kitmakers can make the kits very smooth and quality with also 8 bit...so i must have made some mistakes.
please help

I just choose the Image > Mode > Indexed color and then set it to be 256 colors, the pic looks good compared with the 256 colors pic created by Graphis Studio. :)

Is it what you usually do? or is there any other ways to make the kits look better in 256 colors? thanks :)
