Where have all the Aussie Leeds fans gone?
The place used to be swamped by them a couple of years ago, speaks volumes.

I'm pure Malaysian.
I've always had a thing for the Portugese.
I supported them at the 2002 World Cup because Malaysia will never in a million years make the World Cup, sadly.
We have some good football players, it's our size that's keeping us down.

who the heck could you support another country? I know Hong Kong and Canada suck but I still support them

Were any of those countries in the World Cup?
I felt like supporting a team. I chose Portugal. Is there a problem with that?
The only reason I didn't support my own country is because they simply weren't in it.
ah mate im getting the feeling your from england.Originally posted by thechulloran
too true
I'm a Liverpool fan, and the worse thing I thought about the Kewell transfer last July was the glory hunters branch from oz jumping onto Liverpool from Leeds. Now with Leeds relegated, I thinks its time to leave the Australian ex Leeds "fans" in the sea like asylum seekers!

Wait, I might be misinterpretting this. Do you watch your own countries games? like go to the matches, hah like the one we beat you guys 3 - 1?

id say about 60% of the ppl on these threads are utd fans, and 90% of those ppl are gloryhunters. I cant see how ppl that dont live in britain, and have no british backgrounds could be fans of UTD. If your father of a family member supported team, thats good enough as well. whatever, gloryhunters are better than no football supporters at all
i disagree, yes there gloryhunters but then you generalise everyone who isnt british or that doesnt live in the country that "their" team plays in. For example, you are calling Larry a Glory Hunter because he lives in NZ and not englandOriginally posted by ::shinji::
I really agree with that, I may be wrong but I still find it really hard to beleive that you can truely support a club that you have no cultural ties to or some other historic significance. I suppose you can cheer for whoever you want but I still beleive it's different when you've grown up supporting a certain club from your country or region, it actually almost becomes part of your lifestyle. To me that's a lot different than "supporting" a club just because you like a certain player or something..
