Ok so I'm still waiting to pick up Fifa07 (and later on PES6) here in Canada this coming tuesday/wednsday so I have been checking various sites to get the scoop on what people think about Fifa 07, here's my observation thus far:
Noone has been trashing the gameplay aspect, but it seems that everyone (particularly at fifa07.com) is angry at the fact the game has only 6 leagues, only 37 international teams and a lack of various options (like tourney's and such). It's come to a point that most of them want to change over to PES6 due to the lack of leagues (which imo is ironic as PES6 has fewer leagues, no edit mode and old gen stadia [8 of them in total] but not because of the gameplay!!!! In fact, many people have posted they are going back to current gen just for the licenses!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but over the last number of years I have been reading other people post that they would love to see a major improvement in gameplay in Fifa...this has happened and yet these same people have turned their attention to the lack of features...unbelievable
Yes I know most will say that in order to justify putting down 60.00$ for a game it should have all the features a current gen game has, however people don't realise that in order to put out a next-gen game, hundreds of more people have to be involved in the production of a game and the development cycle needs to be longer...so the chances of getting a fulll game are low...I wouldn't be surprised if Fifa 08 will have only 12 leagues because I see how hard it will be to get all the extra stuff in one year from now.
