Anyway, I would hope he would stay. We play a lot of different competitions, so having Henry and Eto'o together could work. I would imagine Henry will put pressure on the whole Barca front line, whether someone gets sold or not. Then you have the supposed absence of Ronaldinho from the Nou Camp on Saturday adding fuel to the speculation that he might be leaving after all.
The media will do and say anything to sell a story...

Barca won't even need Eto'o if Henry comes. They'll just need to stick in somene like Gudjonssen there who can get on the end of passes time after time and they will be back to their best if not better. Henry may have had a quite season this year, with all the injuries and World Cup and number of games he has played, but mark my word, when Hery shows up all rested for pre-season whether its at Arsenal or Barcelona, the team will be very glad to have him. If he was ripping England defenses apart, i can imagine what he will be doing in Spain.
Either way, if he goes to Barca, i doubt that Eto'o will go to United, if indeed he goes at all. Liverpool is much more likely destination for him and there is speculation of Bellamy leaving Anfield.

Last summer Barça planned this season with Henry, but he changed his mind after the CL final. Since things are not better at Arsenal, I think it's very possible that Henry leaves Arsenal.
That doesn't mean that Eto'o will leave Barça. Laporta is not going to sell Eto'o unless Eto'o himself asks for a transfer and that's not likely.

Henry could play as the sole striker up top for Barca. You would then just put Messi and Ronaldinho behind him.
