theres not difficulty setting in between amateur and regular. it goes from easy to ******* relentless in one star.

******* cheats like hell, computer gets most headers.

******* every loose ball the computer AI runs towards, my stupid team just watches.

on breakaways, you can't outrun the defender even if you double tap turbo button

stupid ******* penalties called.

whenever you get the ball you get gangbanged by at least 3 defenders.

your stupid ass teamates hardly ever attack with you, normally you make a run on the sidelines, and have to wait 5 ******* hours for your stupid ass teamates to catch up and get in the box

unless your player is wide open, pass gets picked off most of the time.

being able to score 10+ goals a match is too easy...where's the challenge? go back to Fifa 2002 if u want. u know there IS a difficulty setting bud.

Yeah .. if you have it on too easy where you win more than 90% of the time .. thats just boring anyway. I Have mine on Top Player (since 1-2 weeks ago), and I haven't lost 1 game .. now that does suck! .. it gets amazingly boring I want a proper competition where I could be relegated.

lol u guys going on about the difficulty settings on PES :P
We all know their a piece of piss, whatever level you play on, once you learn how to play
And the only way to get good is to play on the hardest setting, no point what so ever in winning by 10 goals every game.

Once you find Top Player too easy aswell, get your ass online :P different styles again.
And definatly improves your game, no doubt in my mind
Tho avoid laggers like the plague

Yeah get online If you are beating the computer on Top Player. My favorite team that I play with 90% of the time is USA and they have talent but not super talented so I win 2/3 maybe lose or tie the other third. Sometimes I go 50-50...but yeah I play on Top Player and always do and never can "dominate" so I am good. If I would..Id play online alot more....I play once in a rare occassion.

I agree,the players have absolutely no common sense in the game. Nobody has told the guy how you can fix the problems at the top, which tells me that there is no solution.

I blame the PS2.
Almost all PES games are using the PS2 engine. Konami instead of improving A.I have just concetrated on graphics, and instead have crippled your players when compared to the cpu.

1) Players jumping without you using the jump button
2) Players slide tackling even though you have not pressed a button
3) Players heading the ball even though you have not pressed a button.
4) Players not responding to loose balls or rebounds.
5) Cheap ball physics, instead of calculating where the ball will go using power, spin, angle of deflection the ball will just go directly to a cpu players feet. E.g any rebound in the cpu penalty area will go to the goalie, 90% of rebounds in midfield will go to the cpu player.
6) No players defending throwins even though you had 4 players around before it went out.
7) Players going into a fit if bumped by the cpu and spinning 360 (note cpu will not guve away a freekick).
8) Players turning to stone when the ball rebounds off the goalie, while the cpu players respond instantly.
9) One of the worst heading system of any game i have played. If there is any cpu player near by , no matter what you do the ball will go in there direction. The heading system is just luck, you have no control on power, direction and most of the time when you jump.
10) If a cpu player is near by and you loose the ball, the ball will go in the direction of the cpu player.
11) Players losing the ability to pass 1 meter in the penalty box.
12) Random power bar for shooting.
13) Players like henry who running on the left wing who use there outside foot to curl the ball towards the right hand corner. (Retarded)
14) CPU players can bump and push your players all day and the ref will do nothing, yet a cpu player can run into you when you have the ball and get a freekick.
15) CPU can pass to any player no matter what direction they facing or what they are doing e.g cpu slides for the ball and the ball goes 40 yards up the pitch as a perfect pass, cpu can head almost any distance with 100% accuracy even if it is michael owen challenging koller.
16) No more line defence.
17) Passing to players close by is worser than previous PES

I found these amusing, common random power bar for shooting and you have no control on header, jump or direction ? where/what make you think so? How long have you been playing the game
Many of my goals are headers, more than 1/3 of them, and I main strategy is attack from sides and drop the ball in the box for header. Anyway, keep trying...

i figured out how to score more goals, i have to change my strategy to counter attack mode, brings my midfields up, im gettin a little better. also, why do people say go play fifa? fifa sucks.
