Things I'd love to see in the next ISS

Dunno when Konami will make another ISS but when they do the things I would love to see are:

-Better crowd sound
Each club or country could have their own songs like Arsenal could have the ' He comes from Senegal, He plays for Arsenal, Vieira....' chant

-Contraversial decisions
Like did it cross the line?, was it offside? that kind of thing

-Stadium announcers
When ever there is a goal scored or a sub comes on you should be able to hear the announcer say the names. Or if they really wanna be cute they could do the Bayern Munich thing where the announcer would say after a goal:
Bayern goalscorer number 9 Giovanne....
and the rest of the crowd would shout ELBER!

-Better commentary

-Realistic player ratings
don't make some players too fast (Ronaldo, R Carlos) and don't under rate class players (Vieira, Henry, Gerrard etc)

-Win penalties from handballs
I don't think there is one game where you can win a penalty from handballs.

and finally a few more ocassional errors like a keeper slipping, og's etc.

Now that would really kick FIFA in the teeth big time :)

Things that would really kick FIFA's behind are

1 - Internet Play

2 - More Teams & Leagues

3 - A much better custom cup editor. Konami cup pretty much sucks!

If only one of these gets implemented I'd love to see internet play. :D

I was watching some program on .tv(skys computer channel) and they did a feature on konami, and it was showing ISS on the PS2 and I am sure it shown a handball decision.Anybody here played the Ps2 version to verify this?

I saw the same show,it showed show clips of the game and announced the title of the KCET ISS on PS2 in the U.K. as "Pro Evolution Soccer" due out towards the end of the year.
Re.-handball, i saw an article on the internet at Gamespot, they had an interview with the KCET development team. They said they had play tested the game with the handball element but decided not to use it.

I have a PSX2 and a copy of ISS for it. I can verify that it is not as good as ISS Pro Evolution because it is by KCEO not KCET. For those interested, KCEO are the people who made the N64 versions of the game. It also does not have a handball feature. I think .tv probably showed clips of Winning Eleven 5. Which is basically ISSPE2 coverted to the PSX2. If anybody has any more info about ISS being on the TV please get in touch via my website at:

Some people will not believe this, But ISS pro 2000 on the N64 is better than ISS PRO evolution 1 and 2. The gameplay is excellent and graphics are much beter.

KCEO make excellent ISS games on the N64
KCET make excellent ISS games on playstation.

Thats the difference between both of them. My rating for the N64 VERSIONS is 9.9/10 for psx versions 9.2/10.

Not much is it, who cares KONAMI rules.

KCEO versions of ISS pale in comparison. Although they are better than FIFA. The Evolution series of footy games kick the rest into touch! The keyword being realism, ISS on the n64 isn't realistic!

Curved, your site is pretty cool too bad no one is going to it.

I agree with what you said about the computer needing much better AI especially on offense. Not just boosted stats as you raise the difficulty lvl.

laters.

i think there is a problem with the goalkeeper A.I in iss pe. it seems to easy to score, even on hard mode. the keeper seems to just barely dive.

Um... I get a fairly steady trickle of visitors. Give it a chance it's only been open just a little while. I have 40+ goal replays to put up there so I'm going to be doing a huge update at the weekend. If anyone has a dexdrive and want to send in any kick ass goals then get in touch.

Iss PE 2 is the penultimate soccer sim. No doubt about that. I am a fully converted Fifa lover. I now only play ISS on my pc.

Your site looks great! Tell me, your videos of ISS show the game at a very hight resolution. Which emulator do you use? And how have you configured it?

I use VGS, because it works like a charm, however the graphics are poor. I have tried to use epsxe but the game slows down too much in certain sections of the pitch.

HElP!!!!

Ahhh... now here is the clever part :) I don't use an emulator.

I run my PSX through my PC via a TV card so I get a good picture. I can then easily record replays. After that I convert them to FLASH so they go down to about 300k in size small enough to download on a 56k modem. I'm thinking of trying an emulator just to see what the ISS editor is like.

You only have TV out. You need to get a TV card which enables your PC to emulate a TV, They are quite cheap mine was only £25.

Once the card is installed just plug the PSX cables into the sockets in the card (they will look like the sockets on the back of a normal TV) and run the TV software which came with the card.

Simple :)
