Im not a HUGE soccer fan, but I love the sport, this is a true report, Fifa as made unreal developments from the previous verions, peronaly I think its a geat game, but its not real soccer, pes5 on the other hand is an amaizing game, the gameplay is unreal, what would be sweet is if kanomi update thier buget and had music, menue screens and all the other shat fiffa has, it would make an unreal game.

Gotta agree. I have both games. Fifa06 was great...until I got PES5.

Damn it all, now I don't even want to play FIFA. It looks like a cartoon vs PES5 and 5 on difficulty 2 is more of a challenge than 06 on Pro.

They are each good games, tho. FIFA has all the bells and whistles of ambiance - commentators are lively (not always right, but lively), the crowds are enthusiastic, easy controls, the gameplay is okay for the most part and it can be a fun game vs human opponnent.

PES5 has way superior graphics, much more 'realistic' gameplay and gives me that feeling of accomplishment after scoring.

If the controls were easier, specifically the player switch button tied to the pass button ala EA games, PES5 would prolly be perfect - for me.

But then you'd be trying to switch, and because of the supperior ball physics you'd end up with the ball only to give it away by passing unwittingly (because you were changing player)

The ball physics are real, and you often make the tackle or intercept because the other team loses concentration, passing it straight back would piss you off more.

I think PES has given this a great deal of thought and rightfully seperated the two controls.

I dont think it would be that hard with a gamepad. I'm stuck with a keyboard though so its kinda crappy :s***:. But with some re-mapping & getting used to, it aint much of a problem anymore :)

On the other hand you guys are missing the point, I think, PES is an amzing game with great gameplay but everything else is ****, while fifas gameplay is **** but everything else is amazing.

I dont agree with you.... FIfas players look like crap. the hair looks like plastic and the bodies look all demented.... Sum players look like zombies and almost every player doesnt look nothin like the real thing.....where as konami have improved in graphics and players like Toure C. ROnaldo look like the real thing........ FIfa is starting to lose in the graphix department as well.... :jambo:

the graphics in both games are pretty bad, but i wasnt talking about graphics, I was talking, game modes(franchaise mode) menues, all that stuff.

Personally, I dont see how one can make a comparison by watching football on the TV, and neither do I see how anyone can claim that the physics are real or superior. But Cro, arent you the person who last year said you coach football with kids and you tell them to play PES to see how the game should be played (looool), or am I mistaken and it was someone else?

I hate PES, but I played FIFA and it was shocking, I would need a few hours to list everything I hate so let me do the opposite and list what I like, the licenses, it's as simple as that, take that away from the game and what are you left with, a beta that was in production for 2 weeks?
