through passes tips

i'm having trouble putting in final through passes, i miss those defence splitting passes leading to a one touch goal. do you guys experience the same?

almost all of my goals are either from crosses or finding space to shoot from the edge of the area by moving across, or bringing a winger in from the side.

this is on world class on xbox 360

come to think of it, through passes anywhere on the pitch are borderline retarded, they are either way too far ahead (when they don't need to be, i.e. no defender is blocking the 'correct' pass), or at an angle which gives no hope of my player getting there first, or just plain into a defender (even though there seems adequate space to pass around him)

Are you using full manual? I know it's tricky at first, but if you can get used to it, you'll have so much more control over your game. I'm now splitting the defence with 50yd crossfield aerial balls - couldn't do that without manual controls, but I can now. :)

on manual there really is no difference between through passes & normal passes.

That's true, although if you want an ultra light touch on the ball for some reason, throughball seems to make a much lighter touch possible.
